FORKS — Artists gathered this weekend to display their works at the seventh annual Rainfest, presented by the West Olympic Council for the Arts.
The art celebration began Friday with exhibits and demonstrations at various venues.
The event drew hundreds of people from throughout the Pacific Northwest to Forks.
“I”m real happy with the turnout,” Rainforest Art Center Chairman Mike Gurling said.
Exhibits primarily featured nature and wildlife scenes as well as American Indian art, photography, pottery, wood carving, fiber arts, glass, painting, drawing and sculpture.
Makah woodcarver Greg Colfax demonstrated mask carving at the Errant Elk.
Bank of America was the venue for the Quileute tribal exhibit as well as other demonstrations.
