Forks Fourth activities won’t fit into one day

FORKS — The Forks Old-Fashioned Fourth of July begins Monday and runs through the following Sunday.

Here is the schedule:

Monday

• 6 p.m. — Doors open for Red, White and Blue Bingo at the VFW Hall, 110 Spartan Ave, bingo starts at 7 p.m.; 360-640-2581.

Wednesday

• By 10 a.m. — Entries finished for judging in Window Decorating Contest for Businesses sponsored by West End Business & Professional Association; 360-374-3311.

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Entries accepted for Far West Art League Art, Photo & Craft Show; Rainforest Arts Center (RAC), 35 N. Forks Ave, 360-460-5171; entries also accepted for Forks Gamerz Junior Photo Contest sponsored by Forks Elks Lodge; RAC.

Thursday

• 6 a.m. — “Raise The Flag” at Tillicum Park by the mayor and Coast Guard Station Quillayute River.

• 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. — Elks Annual Forks 4th of July Breakfast; $8 adults, $6 seniors and children with those 4 and under free; Forks Elks Lodge, 941 Merchant Road; 360-374-2524.

• 8 a.m. — Check-in for Grand Parade at Forks Outfitters parking lot, 950 S. Forks Ave.

• 10 a.m. — Sign-ups and judging for Kiddie Parade at Peninsula College parking lot, 481 S. Forks Ave.; 360-640-8211; also judging for Forks Gamerz Junior Photo Contest sponsored by Forks Elks Lodge with cash prizes to be awarded, RAC.

• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Far West Art League show; RAC.

• 10:30 a.m. — Final entries, judging Grand Parade.

• 11:30 a.m. — Line-up for Kiddies Parade; Peninsula College parking lot; parade begins at 11:45 a.m.

• Noon — Grand Parade.

• 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. — Dodgeball Tournament, a Forks wrestling fundraiser; entry fee $40 per team, ages 12 and up, pre-register by phone or at event; Tillicum Park tennis courts, 360-640-4085

• 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. — Salmon Bake sponsored by Forks Lions Club; cost to be determined, Tillicum Park, 360-640-2062

• 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. — Forks Visitor Information Center open, 1411 S. Forks Ave, 360-374-2531; Forks Timber Museum open, 1421 S. Forks Ave, 360-374-9663.

• 3 p.m. — Demolition Derby; gates open at 2 p.m.; tickets $10 at gate; Tillicum Park arena.

• Dusk — Fireworks, Tillicum Park.

Friday

• 9 a.m. — 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament registration, fundraiser for FHS basketball program; tourney begins at 10 a.m.; $10 per player, boys and girls divisions; FHS gym 360-780-0310.

• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Far West Art League Art show, RAC.

• 5 p.m. — Bean Bag Toss; entry fee $30, Tillicum Park, 360-870-1100 to pre-register.

Saturday

• 8:30 a.m. — Fun Run registration, proceeds benefit Forks High School basketball program; race begins at 9 a.m. at parking lot across from Forks Coffee Shop; walk or run 1 mile, 5K, or 10K; entry fee $10; also at 8:30 a.m. is Horseshoe Tournament registration at Tillicum Park; contest begins at 9 a.m.; entry fee $10. 360-374-5323 after 3 p.m.

• 9 a.m. — Done Archery Tag; $5 per person, teams of five of people 12 and up; Tillicum Park.

• 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Forks Open Aire Market, Umpqua Bank parking lot, 1020 S. Forks Ave.; 360-374-6918.

• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Far West Art League Art show, RAC.

• Noon — Youth Bag Tournament, Tillicum Park “Ben Dome” Covered Area; entry fee $30 per team.

• 6 p.m. — Cribbage Tournament; entry fee $6; VFW Hall, S. Spartan Ave., 360-374-5534

• 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. — Street Dance sponsored by Forks Abuse, downtown, 360-374-6411

• 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. — Moonlight Madness sponsored by WEBPA at Forks area merchants. Forks Ave closed between Calawah and Bogachiel, featuring music, vendors, Forks Open Aire Market, fun for the kids and more, 360-374-3311.

Sunday, July 7

• Noon to 2 p.m. — Kiddies Play Day sponsored by Forks Lions Club, Tillicum Park, 360-640-3123 or 360-780-2032

• 5 p.m. — Frog Jump, Tillicum Park.
