PORT ANGELES — The author of “Love Where You Live: Creating Emotionally Engaging Places” will discuss Port Angeles during a presentation hosted by the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Peter Kageyama will present “For the Love of Port Angeles” at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St.
Tickets are $20, with admission for students 21 and under free with valid student ID.

The presentation will include results of a brainstorming workshop that Kageyama will conduct earlier in the day with event sponsors and Port Angeles community stakeholders, according to the chamber of commerce.
That workshop, “Growing the Love of Port Angeles,” will also develop a $500 project, to be implemented later this year in Port Angeles, and funded by five additional sponsors, Feiro Marine Life Center, Port Angeles YMCA, United Way of Clallam County, Olympic View Community Foundation and the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center.
Kageyama is a senior fellow with the Alliance for Innovation, a national network of city leaders that aims to improve the practice of local government.
Since 2013, Kageyama has become a special advisor to America In Bloom. He speaks all over the world about bottom-up community development.
