PORT TOWNSEND — A fire heavily damaged a workshop on Cook Avenue early Saturday morning.
The building was fully ablaze when East Jefferson Fire-Rescue crews arrived after the fire in the 300 block of Cook Avenue was reported at 4:08 a.m., said Bill Beezley, department spokesman.
Nobody was in the building, which included both a workshop and an adjoining accessory dwelling unit, Beezley said, adding that no one was hurt in the blaze.
The contents of the building suffered heavy smoke, heat and flame damage, Beezley said.
The Naval Magazine Indian Island and Port Ludlow Fire and Rescue departments assisted in fighting the fire.
The cause of the fire, which is not thought to be suspicious, had not been determined as of Saturday.
