Final frontier
Rob Hobbs will present “The Future of the Final Frontier” at all four branch libraries of the North Olympic Library system as part of the summer reading program, A Universe of Stories.
Hobbs will speak at 1 p.m. Friday, June 28 at the Clallam Bay Library, 16990 state Highway 112, Clallam Bay.
He will also speak at 6 p.m. that evening at the Forks Library, 171 S. Forks Ave., Forks.
On Saturday, June 29, Hobbs will speak at 1 p.m. at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., Port Angeles.
Later that afternoon at 4 p.m., Hobbs will speak at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim.
Hobbs teaches a course on the history of space exploration at Bellevue College in Bellevue and is a Solar System Ambassador for NASA’a Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
His presentation will cover the Apollo program, its effect on the space race and the future of space exploration.
