PORT ANGELES — Current and former Peninsula College students with a passion for videography are invited to submit films for the third annual Moving Pictures Festival by noon Monday.
The festival will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, in Maier Performance Hall on the Port Angeles campus, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
The films will be shown as part of the Peninsula College Arts Festival.
The videos can cover any topic, but content should be kept at a PG-13 level or lower because the festival is open to the public and includes audiences of all ages.
Submissions should include a YouTube URL and be sent to Renne Emiko Brock-Richmond, Peninsula College digital video instructor, at rbrock-richmond@pencol.edu.
Include the submitter’s name, years attending Peninsula College, title of film or animation, length of media and year produced.
Submissions will be reviewed May 31 by Brock-Richmond and Peninsula College students who have earned their short-term certificates in digital video.
Selections and curation of the entries will be made and video files will be edited together for the festival.
Entries need to be available as high-quality videos on YouTube for submission and less than 13 minutes in length.
Works can be student work or productions created outside of coursework.
Some of last year’s submissions can be seen at http://bit.ly/1TplKxC.
