PORT TOWNSEND — Fiddle music and fireworks will highlight Port Townsend’s Fourth of July weekend celebration.
Centrum’s Festival of American Fiddle Tunes will present traditional fiddle music from various regions of the country in three concerts and a dance today and Saturday.
A fireworks show above Fort Worden State Park is planned to begin at about 10 p.m. today.
Before the show, food will be available throughout the park from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., while games for children will start at 6 p.m. on the Commons, followed by the Rotary pinball game on the Castle lawn.
Both will continue until 8 p.m.
Because Fort Worden parking is limited, Jefferson Transit will offer shuttle bus service to the park from the Park and Ride Haines Place and state Highway 20, beginning at 5 p.m.
Shuttles will run throughout the evening until 30 minutes after the completion of the fireworks show.
Regular fares of $1.25 for a day pass will apply.
