Govenment meetings across North Olympic Peninsula

The boards of local government agencies will meet next week on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Clallam County

The three Clallam County commissioners will hear an update on Serenity House funding options during their weekly work session Monday.

The commissioners’ work session at 9 a.m. Monday will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The hybrid meetings are in the county commissioners’ meeting room (160) in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

• A presentation on the County Roads’ 2023 integrated weed management program.

• A request for a waiver of the three-bid requirement on the purchase of a van for mobile harm reduction services.

• A public hearing at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday regarding a proposed replacement of Clallam County Chapter 13.04 – Clallam Bay Sekiu Sewerage Rate Schedule with a new schedule. The hearing will be continued at 6 p.m. Monday, June 12 at the Sekiu Community Center, 42 Rice St., Sekiu.

Jefferson County

The three Jefferson County commissioners will conduct a workshop on, and possibly take action on, a county burn ban resolution when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

They also will discuss and possibly take action on the Pleasant Harbor master planned resort.

The hybrid meeting is at the commissioners chambers in the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend.

The commissioners will hear a public health and emergency management update from Dr. Allison Berry and Willie Bence; and hear a briefing on 2023 recommendations for conservation futures funding from Tami Pokorny and Cameron Jones.

They also will conduct a workshop on a proposed update to the solid waste fee schedule. A public hearing on the matter is set for 10 a.m. Monday, June 26.

The Washington State Association of Counties will hear a weekly update on COVID-19 when they meet at noon Monday.

Both Clallam and Jefferson counties will participate.

Clallam planning commission

The Clallam County Planning Commission will continue discussion on the proposed sign ordinance when they meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
