EYE ON THE PENINSULA: Proposed budgets top Peninsula agency agendas

Meetings across the North Olympic Peninsula.

Budgets, transportation improvement plans and a raise in a general manager’s salary will be before boards and commissions next week.

Several meetings typically scheduled for Mondays have been rescheduled to Tuesday this week due to the Veterans Day holiday on Monday. That includes the boards of county commissioners for both Clallam and Jefferson counties; Clallam County Public Utility District No. 1 commissioners; and the Forks and Port Townsend city councils.

Clallam County Commissioners

The three Clallam County commissioners will discuss proposed budget reductions, revisions, supplemental appropriations and debatable budget emergencies that will be considered on Nov. 26 during their weekly business meeting Tuesday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Tuesday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which will start at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The three Jefferson County commissioners will conduct a public hearing regarding the adoption of the proposed six-year transportation improvement program when they meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

• An agreement with the Port of Port Townsend for $486,641 of Public Infrastructure Funds for the Jefferson County International Airport Eco-Industrial Park project.

•. An agreement with Jefferson County for $202,767 of Public Infrastructure Funds for the Quilcene Complete Streets project.

• An amended agreement with the state Recreation and Conservation Office for Hoh River Resiliency – Lindner Creek, no change in cost.

• An amended agreement with People First of Washington State for an additional $8,070, for a total of $20,277, to provide self-determination and self-advocacy services.
