EYE ON THE PENINSULA: Local boards and commissions plan meetings for week

Meetings across the North Olympic Peninsula.

Clallam County will discuss a possible policy amendment next week, while Jefferson County Commissioners will not meet.

Clallam County Commissioners

The three Clallam County commissioners will conduct a public hearing regarding the proposed amendment of “Policy 504 Recognitions, Refreshments and Miscellaneous Reimbursements” during their weekly work session Monday/weekly business meeting Tuesday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• Resolutions appointing members of various volunteer boards and commissions,

• An amended contract with the Department of Health for $171,916 to fund public health workforce development, beach environmental assessments and WIC nutrition programs.

• An amended contract the Department of Health for $192,604 for a public health infrastructure grant, public health emergency preparedness, on-site sewage system and small on-site management programs.

• An agreement with the Washington State Patrol for $21,728 to replace the livescan fingerprint scanner at the jail.

• An amended agreement with the state Department of Agriculture to return an unused $6,000 from a knotweed control grant.

• An agreement with the Community Health Plan of Washington for behavioral health and other health care services.

• A discussion regarding a letter outlining the local impacts of federal decision-making requested by Senator Murray and by Representative Randall.

• A call for a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, regarding the proposed ordinance “emergency ordinance amending Chapter 27.12 Critical Areas regarding floodplain management.”

• A call for bids to be received no later than 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, regarding the Dungeness Reservoir site debris removal project.

• Resolution altering voting precinct boundary lines due to annexations by the cities of Forks and Port Angeles.

• An agreement with Peninsula Daily News for legal advertising.
