Meetings across the North Olympic Peninsula

Clallam and Jefferson county commissioners and public utility districts from both counties are scheduled to meet next week.

Clallam County Commissioners

The three Clallam County commissioners will consider a resolution to authorize $50,000 in opioid settlement funds to support the Clallam County Harm Reduction Health Center during their weekly business meeting on Tuesday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which will start at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• Resolutions appointing Nancy Stephanz to the Marine Resources Advisory Committee and Eddie Reetz to the Clallam Bay/Sekiu Community Advisory Committee.

• A discussion regarding a Heritage Grant Fund request for $2,500 to to power wash the west wall and a section of the north wall of Elks Naval Lodge #535, repair cracks, scrape peeling paint and repaint the wall.

• A resolution authorizing a $10,000 grant to the North Olympic Peninsula Railroaders from the county’s heritage grant fund.

• Agreement with Quileute Indian Tribe for $1,500 per month for five years to lease part of a building for a West End office for the Sheriff’s Office.

• Agreement with Olympic Peninsula Humane Society for $1,095.75 per month for exclusive use of three kennels plus $49 per day for animal housing and care services.

• Agreement with Department of Social and Health Services for up to $2,765,995 to provide adult developmental disability services through June 30, 2026.

• Agreement with the city of Port Angeles for $1,393,167 in Opportunity Funds to support the A Street Wastewater Infrastructure Project.

• A no-cost lease agreement with U.S. Coast Guard for the Slip Point Lighthouse property.

• An agreement with the Quileute Tribe and city of Forks for payment services and other matters relating to tribal trust land within Forks city limits.

• Agreement with Dr. Carole Jenny for $300 per hour to provide expert services in the criminal case State v. Engelbright.

• Agreements with the state Department of Ecology for $174,146 in cost-shares for Local Solid Waste and Financial Assistance grants to pay for enforcement, permitting, inspecting, reviewing data, outreach, education and investigations.

• An amended agreement with Tyler Technologies for a database program for processing payments.

• A renewed agreement with HS GovTech for a food service permitting database.

• Discussion and resolutions regarding proposed budget reductions, revisions and supplemental appropriations for consideration on July 29.

• A call for a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. July 29 regarding several debatable budget emergencies.
