EYE ON THE PENINSULA: Clallam to consider homeless assistance funds

Meetings across the North Olympic Peninsula

Homeless funding will be before Clallam County commissioners on Monday, and many other public agencies have scheduled meetings next week.

Clallam County Commissioners

The three Clallam County commissioners will review $720,000 for Homeless Housing and Assistance Funds 2163 and $130,000 for Affordable Housing Funds 2060 funding recommendations during their weekly business meeting Tuesday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which will start at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• Discussion and next steps regarding OnBase subscription for the Superior Court.

• A pre-application questionnaire with the state Department of Agriculture for a knotweed control grant.

• A resolution appointing Joe Soha and Amy Miller to the Homelessness Task Force.

• A call for bids for 2025 Hot Mix Asphalt requirements to be received no later than 10 a.m. May 6.

• Final approval of Country Bear Acres subdivision LDV2023-00003 Cedarland & Co., LLC.

• An update on the current state Legislative session.

• Amended contracts with the state Department of Health for $364,520 for Clallam County Health and Human Services programs.

• An agreement with the Washington State Patrol for $21,728 to replace the livescan fingerprint machine at the Clallam County Jail.

• Agreement with Community Health Plan of Washington for behavioral health and other health care services.

• A public hearing regarding a proposed ordinance amending Chapter 26.10 Consolidated Development Permit Process, Section 26.10.540, Time limit for final decision — Exceptions.
