Meetings across the North Olympic Peninsula

Towne Road, a county administrator’s performance and a low-income community solar project will be items up for discussion next week before Peninsula boards and commissions.

Clallam County Commissioners

The three Clallam County commissioners will review the Towne Road and lower Dungeness floodplain restoration project during their weekly work session on Monday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which will start at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• A request to waive bid/RFP/quote requirements in order to purchase privacy booths from Spaceworx.

• An agreement with Conservation Technix, Inc. for $140,000 to develop an updated 2027-2037 Parks Master Plan.

• An amended agreement with the state Department of Social and Health Services – Developmental Disabilities Administration for services for persons with developmental disabilities.

• An amended agreement with Washington State Association of Counties to fund an energy audit.

• A resolution opposing new offshore oil and gas leasing off the coast of Washington in the 2024-2029 national outer continental shelf oil and gas leasing program.

• A public hearing regarding an ordinance amending Chapter 27.12 Critical Area Part 5 – Frequently Flooded Areas.

• A discussion regarding the evaluation of Todd Mielke’s performance as county administrator.

• A discussion regarding the county’s representative to the Washington State Association’s Legislative Steering Committee.

• A call for a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. June 24 regarding an agreement with the Clallam Economic Development Council for the Opportunity Fund Program to support the Clallam Forest Products Industry Cluster Innovation Program.

• An amended agreement with Natural System Design Inc. for an additional $32,239, for a total of $182,239, to complete the Elwha River channel migration project.

• An amended agreement with the state Department of Commerce to align with the extended deadline for the county’s Growth Management Act update.

• Purchase order with Carousel Industries for county phone system support and maintenance.

• Notice that several budget revisions, supplemental appropriations and debatable budget emergencies will be considered for adoption on June 24.
