EYE ON THE PENINSULA: Clallam commissioners to discuss homeless funding

Meetings across the North Olympic Peninsula

Homeless Task Force recommendations, a fish barrier removal project and a comprehensive plan update will be before Peninsula boards and commissions next week.

The three Clallam County commissioners will consider recommendations from the Homelessness Task Force to disburse $850,000 to eight nonprofits for 12 projects during 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 during their weekly business meeting Tuesday.

The commissioners’ work session, at 9 a.m. Monday, will preview items set for action at their formal meeting, which will start at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

• An amended agreement with Natural Systems Design, Inc. for natural systems design coastal geologic services. The state Department of Ecology has requested the contract deliverables be broken into smaller files.

• A discussion regarding proposed budget reductions and supplemental appropriations to be considered at the April 29 business meeting.

• A call for bids for 2025 Hot Mix Asphalt requirements to be received no later than 10 a.m. May 6.

• Final approval of Country Bear Acres subdivision, LDV2023-00003, Cedarland & Co., LLC.
