County commissioners
Clallam County commissioners will discuss an proposal to limit the use of highway rest areas at 9 a.m. Monday.

The proposal would regulate two county rest areas in alignment with state regulations.
It would restrict access to eight hours for a 24-hour period and total of 48 hours, after which time vehicles would be subject to impoundment.
Other discussion items for the session include:
• A memorandum of agreement with Washington State University to provide educational programs.
• A grant application for ancillary therapeutic services.
• A grant application to support crime victims.
• An agreement with CenturyLink for service lines.
• A resolution to distribute timber revenue equitably in light of a land exchange between the state Department of Natural Resources and Merrill and Ring.
Commissioners will hold their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include an agreement with the state Department of Ecology for the Clallam Bay-Sekiu sewer project; a resolution adopting supplemental appropriations, including a $433,368 grant for emergency housing for the COVID-19 outbreak; a public hearing for consideration of debatable budget emergencies, including $100,129 to tourism-based nonprofits to help “keep the lights on” during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Board of Health
The Clallam County Board of Health will discuss COVID-19 at a special meeting from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will consider a nearly $1.5 million contract for the Terminal 3 maintenance dredge project when it meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Commissioners will consider awarding the bid to the low bidder, Legacy Contracting Inc., for $1,467,625.
They also will consider a log yard archaeological survey consultant service agreement and hear a n update on actions taken in regard to COVID-19.
Sequim city
The Sequim City Council will interview applicants and perhaps name a new council member when they meet in regular session at 6 p.m. Monday.

In-person attendance is currently prohibited and no open public comment period will be provided during the meeting. The council has two seats to fill, vacancies left by Jennifer States’ resignation and the death of Deputy Mayor Ted Miller.
Four people had applied for States’ position before Miller died. They are Lowell Rathbun, Sarah Kincaid, Mike Pence and Robert Sheckler.
The council will interview them in public session and recess into executive session for discussion. The council is expected to name one or two appointees when it reconvenes.
The council also will discuss matters related to COVID-19 precautions and elect a new deputy mayor.
The council will conduct a technology check at 5:30 p.m.
Forks city
The Forks City Council will consider awarding a Campbell Pit Emergency Well contract when it meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

The council also will discuss a NOAA National Weather Service building.
Sequim schools
The Sequim School Board will discuss the reduction in force recommendation when it meets in a workshop at 5 p.m. Monday which will precede the regular meeting at 6 p.m..

The Quillayute Valley School Board will discuss actions taken in regard to COVID-19 when it meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

The board will consider action on requirements for 23020 graduation.
Public Utility District
Clallam County Public Utility District meeting originally set for Monday has been canceled.
JEFFERSON COUNTY
County commissioners
The Jefferson County commissioners will be briefed about implementation of Phase I of Gov. Jay Inslee’s construction restart when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

The Chimacum School Superintendent will update the board on remote learning and operations when it meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The board also will consider a new district logo and hear about capital projects scheduled for the remainder of 2020.
Development authority
The Fort Worden Public Development Authority board meeting set for Wednesday has been canceled.
