EYE ON JEFFERSON: County to consider lodging tax grants

The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider 2021 lodging tax recommendations when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

Commissioners will hear a COVID-19 update from Dr. Tom Locke, county health officer, at 9:45 a.m. and a briefing about a mental health navigator grant from Sheriff Joe Nole.

Items on the consent agenda include initiating the Oil City Road engineering assessment, proposed speed limit reductions and an emergency zoning ordinance for homeless facilities.

Port Townsend city

The Port Townsend City Council’s Ad Hoc Committee on Public Safety and Law Enforcement will review its final report and consider forwarding to the council when it meets at 5 p.m. Monday.

Port of Port Townsend

Port of Port Townsend commissioners will discuss Quilcene plans when they meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Preceding the meeting will be an exit conference with a member of the Washington Auditor’s Office at 5 p.m.

The commissioners also will review the November financials and hear a quarterly projects report.

Public Utility District

The Jefferson County Public Utility District will gather in executive session to evaluate the performance of a public employee at 10 a,m. Tuesday.

Jefferson Healthcare

Jefferson Healthcare commissioners will meet in a regular session at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Development authority

The Fort Worden Public Development Authority board will review the Lifelong Learning Center’s annual report when it meets in a special session at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
