EYE ON JEFFERSON: Wooden tent law under consideration

The three Jefferson County commissioners will hear an update on a possible ordinance to allow “wooden tent” developments to house those without shelter when they meet at they meet at 9 a.m. Monday..

They will hear a report on the county’s first-quarter income from the Department of Natural Resources

The Jefferson County commissioners will hear a presentation on the Port Hadlock sewer project from Jefferson County Public Utility District during a special meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Association of counties

The Washington State Association of Counties will hear a weekly update on COVID-19 when they meet at noon Monday.

Both Clallam and Jefferson counties will participate.

The Jefferson County and city of Port Townsend Joint Oversight Board on Affordable Housing and Homeless Housing will discuss a proposal to open an encampment for the homeless on Cape George Road during a meeting at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Port Townsend city

The Port Townsend City Council will consider authorizing the city manager to execute an interlocal agreement for economic development with Jefferson County, the Port of Port Townsend, Jefferson County Public Utilities District and Economic Development Council Team Jefferson when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Port of Port Townsend commissioners will discuss updates to the 2021 capital plan during a regular session at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
