The commissioners will hear an update on COVID-19 from Dr. Allison Berry, health officer for Jefferson and Clallam counties, at 9:45 a.m. and hear a presentation, “Pandemic Response Reflections and the Future of Public Health in Jefferson County” by Apple Martine.
They will discuss the 2022 comprehensive plan amendment cycle, Economic Development Council Team Jefferson American Rescue Plan Act small business grants and the communications position.
Items on the consent agenda include a resolution relating to emergency load limitations on county roads, a resolution to set a public hearing for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24 to consider proposed ordinance inactivating Fund 202-000-030 – Road Improvement Bonds and Fund 602-000-010 – Road Improvement Guaranty Fund, a call for bids for the publication of county legal notices, an collective bargaining agreement for commissioned deputies in the sheriff’s office, an agreement with Division 9 Flooring for $25,048 to replace the flooring in the lobby of the jail, an agreement with Mayda Mechanical for $20,427 for a cooling system for the new county server and an agreement with Pfeiffer House for $70,800 to provide young adult housing and support services.

Association of counties
The Washington State Association of Counties will hear a weekly update on COVID-19 when they meet at noon Monday.
Both Clallam and Jefferson counties will participate.

The Chimacum School Board will consider a formal collaboration with the Port Townsend School District when it meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
