Government meetings across Jefferson County

The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider finalizing the three redistricting options when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

The commissioners will hear an update on COVID-19 from Dr. Allison Berry at 9:45 a.m.

They will conduct public hearings on fourth quarter budget appropriations and on a pre-1971 lots and plats ordinance. They will consider committee assignments for 2022 and an amended letter of support for the Dabob Bay Trust land transfer.

Items on the consent agenda include lodging tax grants totaling $650,862, agreements for school-based mental health services totaling $218,818 and several appointments, reappointments and resignations from volunteer advisory boards.

Counties’ association

The Washington State Association of Counties will hear a weekly update on COVID-19 when they meet at noon Monday.

Both Clallam and Jefferson counties will participate.

Port Townsend city

The Port Townsend City Council will consider approving the purchase of 14.4 acres of property for the Evans Vista housing project when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The council will vote on continuing to suspend utility shut-offs, late fees and penalties through March 31; continue discussion on ordinances related to its water service agreement with Port Townsend Paper Corp.; swear in new members Aislinn Diamanti, Libby Urner Wennstrom and Ben Thomas; consider amending an ordinance related to taxation of sewer fees; consider making entheogen-related activities a low enforcement priority and hear a report from the salary commission on council members’ salaries.

Transit Authority

The Board of Jefferson Transit Authority will consider adopting the proposed 2022 budget when it meets at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Public Utility District

Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will discuss the clean energy implementation plan during a special meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The commissioners also will recess into two executive sessions, one to discuss a real estate transaction and another to evaluate and review the performance of a public employee.

Worden PDA

The Fort Worden Public Development Authority board will consider adopting the enterprise services fund budget when it meets at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
