EYE ON JEFFERSON: PUD commissioners to hear 2020 draft budget

Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will consider a draft of the 2020 budget when they meet at 5 p.m. Monday.

Other action items include the bid award for the 310 Four Corners Road construction and the financial policy review.

Jefferson County

The three Jefferson County commissioners will hear third quarter budget appropriations and extensions when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

The meeting will be in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.

The county relocated Undie Road to higher ground in 2016 as an emergency projected funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The agreement commits state Department of Transportation toll credits of $312,422, a 13.5 percent match, for the FLAP funds.

The consent agenda also includes $237,620 for a site improvement at the Jefferson County Transfer Station, and it contains an additional $354,595 for prevention programs related to drugs and alcohol for children up to 18 and adults ages 18-25.
