The Port Townsend City Council will consider approving a resolution establishing Port Townsend as a welcoming city when it meets Monday.
The special business meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
The resolution also is intended to clarify the city council’s policy related to non-discrimination in the provision of city services.
Other city committee meetings, which are in conference rooms at City Hall, 250 Madison St., are:
• Council Finance and Budget Committee — 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, third-floor conference room. The committee will hear on pool and rental cost recovery and fees.
• Parks, Recreation and Tree Advisory Board — 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, first-floor conference room.
County commission
The three Jefferson County commissioners will discuss and take possible action on the transmittal of a contract amendment on a jail records management system when they meet Monday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
In transmitting the amendment between Tyler Technologies and JeffCom to train jail staff to use the system, the county acknowledges that it is paying for the costs to install and maintain the system.
Items on the consent agenda include:
• A resolution on disposal options for surplus property.
• Adding the new Undi Road Bypass to the official county road log. The portion being added starts at the county line (milepost 1.500) and ends where it reconnects to Undie Road (milepost 2.185).
• Signing a digital submittal certification on reports for 2016 from the county Road Administration Board.
The board also will hear an update from the Jefferson County Tourism Coordinating Council on its activities.
During the county administrator briefing session at 1:30 p.m., commissioners will hear updates on geoduck farming in Squamish Harbor and a Kittitas County appeal of the state Liquor and Cannabis Board licensing, as well as an update on the 2017 legislative session.
Port Townsend schools
The Port Townsend School Board will receive training on a new web-based product for board meetings when it meets Monday.
The special meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the Gael Stuart Building, 1610 Blaine St.
The board will hold its regular meeting at 6 p.m.
Items on the consent agenda include approval of personnel action and financial reports, as well as accepting a donation of $4,600 from the Port Townsend Boosters to Blue Heron and Port Townsend High School athletics.
The board also will take action on a construction schedule for the new elementary school and approve field trips and policies on the release of resident students, infectious diseases, medication at school and anaphylaxis prevention and response.
Jefferson Healthcare
Jefferson Healthcare commissioners will hear a presentation on the women’s clinic when they meet Wednesday.
Commissioners will meet at 3:30 p.m. in the Jefferson Healthcare Conference Room, Suite 302, on the third floor at 2500 W. Sims Way.
They will convene an executive session to discuss potential litigation.
Development authority board
The Fort Worden Public Development Authority board and Fort Worden Foundation will be presented with the most recent schematic and landscapes design for Makers Square when it meets Wednesday.
The meeting will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Commons B at Fort Worden, 200 Battery Way. The PDA board will meet alone at 9 a.m. in the same place.
A joint PDA board/foundation luncheon is planned from noon to 1 p.m. The public is invited, but lunch will not be provided.
At the joint meeting following the luncheon, Signal Architects will present the most recent design for Maker’s Square.
