EYE ON JEFFERSON: Port Townsend School Board to talk new elementary school construction costs

The Port Townsend School Board will discuss approving guaranteed maximum construction costs for Salish Coast Elementary School when it meets Monday.

The special meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in Room S-11 of the Gael Stuart Building, 1610 Blaine St.

Jefferson County ­commission

The three Jefferson County commissioners will not meet this Monday.

The next meeting is scheduled for June 5.

County offices will be closed Monday to mark Memorial Day.

Port Townsend City Council

There will be no Port Townsend City Council meeting this week.

City offices will be closed Monday to mark Memorial Day.

The Non-Motorized Transportation Advisory Board will meet from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday in the first-floor conference room at City Hall, 250 Madison St.

Jefferson PUD

Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will conduct a workshop on PUD financial reports, financial procedures and policies, and the 2018 budget process when they meet Friday.

The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. at 230 Chimacum Road, Port Hadlock.

LEOFF I board

The Jefferson County/City of Port Townsend Law Enforcement Officer and Firefighter (LEOFF) I Retirement/Disability Board will meet in closed session with the board secretary to review and discuss medical expenses when it meets Tuesday.

The special meeting will begin at 8:30 p.m. in the county administrator’s conference room at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.

The board also will discuss determination on payment of medical expenses.
