The Port Townsend School Board will consider approving the new elementary school design and a budget estimate for construction when it meets Monday.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Gael Stuart Building, 1610 Blaine St.
The board will look at design plans for Grant Street Elementary School.
The total proposed master budget for money from the 2016 construction bond for building the elementary school and high school construction is $41,177,588.
The board also will consider approving polices dealing with the relationship between the board and superintendent and the superintendent’s evaluation.
County commission
Jefferson County commissioners will consider establishing a citizens advisory committee for the county Sheriff’s Office when they meet Monday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in commissioners’ chambers in the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend. An executive session is planned at 1:30 p.m. to discuss collective bargaining, professional negotiations or grievance or mediation proceedings.
Sheriff David Stanko will brief commissioners on the proposed committee, which would be made up of up to 15 people representing Brinnon, Marrowstone Island and Indian Island, Port Hadlock and Irondale, Port Ludlow, Port Townsend, Quilcene , Chimacum, the Hoh Tribe, Dabob and Coyle, Kala Point, Discovery Bay and Gardiner; and three at-large positions, including one filled by a student.
Commissioners also will consider a $38,229 agreement with CivicPlus for a new website.
Also on the consent agenda are:
• A change order of an additional $5,000 to Interwest Construction Inc. for the Undie Road relocation project.
• Two additions to professional service agreements with Skookum Corp., which contracts with Jefferson County Public Health, one for $34,560 and the other for $150,100.
• Setting a hearing on third-quarter budget appropriations and extensions for 10 a.m. Oct. 10.
• Declaring surplus property, with each item worth less than $2,500.
• An amendment with the Concerned Citizens contract adding $29,180.
Also meeting this week will be:
• Civil Service Commission — 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jefferson County Courthouse.
• Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board — 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, commissioners’ chambers, county courthouse.
Board of Health/Jefferson Healthcare
The Jefferson County Board of Health and Jefferson Healthcare commissioners will conduct a joint meeting to review the community health plan Thursday.
The meeting will be at 2 p.m. in the Cotton Building, 607 Water St., Port Townsend.
Public comment will be taken at 3:40 p.m.
Port Townsend city
The Parks, Recreation and Trees Advisory Board will consider updating the street tree list and hear an update on dog parks and off-leash areas when it meets Tuesday.
The panel will meet at 4:30 p.m. in the first-floor conference room at City Hall, 250 Madison St.
The City Council will not meet this week. The next meeting will be Oct. 3.
Council office hours, during which members of the public can discuss any topic with a member of the City Council, take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday in the mayor’s office at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
The Council Finance and Budget Committee originally set for Tuesday has been canceled.
Port of Port Townsend
Port of Port Townsend commissioners will discuss a draft 2017 budget when they meet Tuesday and conduct a public workshop Wednesday.
The special meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 333 Benedict St. The Wednesday workshop on commission retreats and work plan for 2017 will be at 3 p.m. in the same building.
The 2017 budget is expected to be adopted Nov. 22.
Also Tuesday, commissioners will consider approving a new one-year lease with the Coast Guard for a Boat Haven spit. The present lease expires at the end of the month. The annual rent is $22,626.
Commissioners also will discuss a new lease for Shanghai Restaurant.
An executive session is planned to discuss potential litigation.
Chimacum schools
The Chimacum School Board will consider approval of board goals when it meets Wednesday.
The board will meet at 6 p.m. in the library of the high school at 91 West Valley Road.
It also will consider a co-curricular program and interscholastic activities.
It will hear a schedule of school improvement presentations.
An executive session is planned.
Public development authority
The Fort Worden Lifelong Learning Center Public Development Authority board will hear an update on the Makers Square design process when it meets Wednesday.
The board will meet at 9 a.m. in Commons B at Fort Worden.
The board also will consider appointing Lynn Kessler, former state representative, and Jeff Krida to the Fort Worden Foundation.
It will review the unified State Parks and public development authority capital plan.
Jefferson Transit
The Jefferson Transit board meeting originally set for Tuesday has been canceled.
