EYE ON JEFFERSON: Port Townsend council to consider PDA change

The Port Townsend City Council will consider amending chapter 2.84 of the municipal code with regard to the Fort Worden Lifelong Learning Center Public Development Authority during a business meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The regular meeting will be preceded by an executive session at 6 p.m. to discuss litigation or potential litigation.

The council will consider declaring that it has determined that the public development authority requires additional oversight.

The council also will consider authorizing the city manager to extend the lease with the Port Townsend Paper Company through Dec. 31.

County commission

The three Jefferson County commissioners will discuss delegating signature authority for sharing the costs of replacing onsite sewage systems when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

Chimacum schools

The Chimacum School Board will consider approving a contract for Scott Mauk as the district’s new superintendent during a special meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

According to a press release, a link to the meeting will be posted at www.csd49.org by the day of the meeting.

Quilcene schools

The Quilcene School Board will consider bonds and levies and conduct a study of chapter 8 when they meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The board also will meet in executive session to discuss superintendent feedback.

Port Townsend schools

The Port Townsend School Board will meet in executive session during a special meeting at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the performance of an employee.

Public Utility District

Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will discuss an interlocal agreement with the Port of Port Townsend and hear an update on the Middlepoint Broadband local utility district at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
