Port of Port Townsend commissioners are expected to create an advisory committee on leasing policy when they meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The meeting will be in chambers at 333 Benedict St.
Commissioners also will consider adopting a budget process and schedule and going over June financial reports.
Also from today through Tuesday, two or more commissioners are in Cle Elum for the Washington Public Ports Association annual commission conference. No formal action will be taken.
County commission
The three Jefferson County commissioners will hear a briefing on the affordable housing fund when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Commissioners also will consider supporting creation of a pilot program by the Salish Behavioral Health Organization.
On the consent agenda, they will consider establishing a Water Quality Department Land Acquisition Fund.
The fund is to track land acquisition grant funds for proper accountability, a staff memo said. The action would have no fiscal impact, staff said.
Other items on the consent agenda include:
• Designating Mark McCauley, central services director, as county safety officer.
• A special use agreement with Peninsula Trails Coalition for use of Memorial Field.
• Amending contract with BERK Consulting Inc., for assistance with final comprehensive plan update.
• Letter of support for grant application to state Historic Courthouse Grant Program.
• Letter of support for Jefferson County Public Utility District’Rural Broadband Program Strategic Planning grant application.
A special meeting of the board of county commissioners also is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Port Townsend Fire Station, 35 Critter Lane. No agenda was available as of Saturday.
Port Townsend city
The Council Finance and Budget Committee will discuss cost allocations for the 2019 budget when it meets at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The panel will meet in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
No Port Townsend City Council meeting is scheduled this week.
Other city committee meetings are set on Tuesday.
• Parks, Recreation and Tree Advisory Board — 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, first-floor conference room at City Hall, 250 Madison St.
• Port Townsend Planning Commission — 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, council chambers, 540 Water St.
Chimacum School Board
The Chimacum School Board will conduct a public hearing on the proposed 2018-19 budget before considering adopting it when it meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The meeting will be at Chimacum High School, 91 West Valley Road. An executive session is planned to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a public employee.
A budget summary report will include a four-year forecast.
The board also will consider policies concerning citizen advisory committees, federal cash and financial management and continuity of operations plan.
The superintendent will update the board on board goals, opening of school in the fall and collective bargaining.
Quilcene School Board
The Quilcene School Board will conduct a public hearing on the 2018-19 budget and consider approving it when it meets at 6 p.m. Monday.
The board will meet in the board room at 294715 U.S. Highway 101.
Jefferson Healthcare
Jefferson Healthcare commissioners will consider a Washington Rural Health Collaborative interlocal agreement when they meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
The board will meet in the Victor J. Dirksen Conference Room on the first floor of 834 Sheridan St.
The Washington Rural Health Collaborative aims to connect the 15 critical access hospital members.
Commissioners also will consider declaring some equipment as surplus and medical staff credentials and appointments.
