Port of Port Townsend commissioners will discuss design considerations for Point Hudson’s south jetty and issues related to budget context when they meet in a workshop in Port Ludlow on Wednesday.
The public workshop will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Port Ludlow Fire Station, 7650 Oak Bay Road, Port Ludlow. The regular session will follow at 1 p.m.
On the regular session agenda are a contract amendment with Washington Project consultants, a bond reimbursement resolution and a second draft of the 2018 operating and capital budget.
The port will go into executive session.
County commission
The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider an agreement to develop and implement coordinated tobacco, vapor product and marijuana intervention strategies when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
The $50,000 contract agreement, fully funded by the Kitsap Health District through a regional grant received from the state Department of Health, is to pay for the coordinator, supplies, travel expenses and indirect expenditures.
On the regular agenda is a hearing at 10 a.m. on third-quarter budget appropriations/extensions and a proclamation declaring the month of October as Jefferson County Community Planning Month in recognition of National Planning Month.
Afterward will be a briefing on progress with the public records policy update.
During the county administrator briefing session at 1:30 p.m., commissioners will hear an update on possible removal of Jefferson County from the Brown Dairy Agricultural Conservation Easement as well as Recreation and Conservation Office sponsorship obligations.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend City Council will discuss an update on the Howard Street/Sims Way corridor subarea plan when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The workshop meeting will be in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
No action is expected to be taken.
The council also will hear an update to the Critical Areas Ordinance and discuss the 2018 budget.

• Library Advisory Board — 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Library Learning Center, Charles Pink House, 1256 Lawrence St.
• Lodging Tax Advisory Committee — Tuesday’s meeting has been canceled.
• Planning Commission — Thursday’s meeting has been canceled.
Chimacum School Board
The Chimacum School Board will consider policies to adopt on a second reading when it meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The meeting will be at Chimacum High School, 91 West Valley Road.
PUD advisory board
The Jefferson County Public Utility District Citizen Advisory Board will hear reports when they meet at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be at the PUD Electrical Service Center, 310 Four Corners Road, Port Townsend.
Reports will be on noxious weeds, broadband delivery strategies, smart meter discussion, credit card use policy and reduced rates for low-income customers.
Peninsula College
Peninsula College trustees meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
They will meet in the Cornaby Center on the Port Angeles campus at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

Brinnon parks district
The Brinnon Parks and Recreation District will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
