The Jefferson County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on proposed amendments related to shooting facilities at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at the Chimacum High School auditorium, 91 West Valley Road, Chimacum.
The proposed amendments would affect Title 8 and Title 18 in the county code. Title 8 deals with health and safety, and Title 18 is the Unified Development Code.
The Planning Commission and the Department of Community Development will accept written comments on the proposed amendments through 4:30 p.m. Friday.

The commission requests the phrase “ZON18-00036” in the subject line of all email comments.
County commissioners
The three Jefferson County commissioners will conduct a hearing on a proposed ordinance to expand the current no-shooting area on the Toandos Peninsula when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Items on the consent agenda include an amendment to West Jefferson County law enforcement services and to extend the service agreement to the Hoh Tribe until April 30, 2020.
The county will pay $50,000 per quarter.
The county also will consider an amendment to a contract with the Demarche Consulting Group to provide interim leadership to the Department of Community Development due to extended vacancy in several positions.
The proposal will cost $97,760 and span both the 2019 and 2020 county budgets.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend City Council will swear in City Manager John Mauro when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
The city has several budget-related ordinances on the agenda in addition to amending its wastewater plan by replacing the outfall section and replacing it with a new off-shore outfall.
Jefferson Transit
Jefferson Transit board members will conduct a budget workshop when they meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The board will meet at the transit facility at 63 Four Corners Road.
Public Utility District
Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will discuss the board position rotation when they meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at Jefferson Transit, 63 Four Corners Road.
Staff is recommending that Dan Toepper become president of the board as of Jan. 1, with Kenneth Collins as vice president and Jeff Randall secretary. The positions would be effective from 2020 2022.
Commissioners also will discuss the memberships they plan to be involved with next year, and a potential interlocal agreement with Northwest Open Access Network (NoaNet) with an addition of revenue share, the first time Jefferson PUD would directly collect customer revenue for services in the utility’s service territory.
Quilcene School Board
The Quilcene School Board will conduct a work study session to discuss a bond or levy when it meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The board will meet in Room 9 at 294715 U.S. Highway 101.
Port Townsend schools
The Port Townsend School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will be in the Gael Stuart Building, 1610 Blaine St.
No agenda was available as of Saturday.
Fire District 3
Clallam County Fire District 3 commissioners will hear a 2020 budget proposal at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at district headquarters, 323 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.
Commissioners also will hear a 2018 annual report.
The district covers the east side of Clallam County with a small portion in Jefferson County.
