Government meetings across Jefferson County

The three Jefferson County commissioners will discuss site control for Phase 2A of the Brown-Caswell Village when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

The commissioners will hear an update on COVID-19 from Dr. Allison Berry at 9:45 a.m. and consider an ordinance defining the duties of the fire marshall.

Items on the consent agenda include a contract with Nordland Construction NW for $1,749,021 to replace a culvert under Thorndyke Road; a contract with Van Aller Surveying for $17,995 to stake the construction site on Thorndyke Road; a contract with Kostelec Law Office for up to $9,900 for on-call right-of-way legal services; a grant agreement with the state Military Department related to the Ruby Creek washout of Oil City Road; and authorization for Public Works to acquire easements for the Port Hadlock sewer project.

Association of counties

The Washington State Association of Counties will hear a weekly update on COVID-19 when they meet at noon Monday.

Both Clallam and Jefferson counties will participate.

Port of PT

Port of Port Townsend commissioners will conduct a public workshop meeting at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and hear an update on the Point Hudson jetty project during a regular meeting at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Peninsula College trustees will host a series of in-person meetings to solicit public comment beginning Monday.

The meetings will be in room A12 at the college’s Port Angeles campus, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd. at 4:30 p.m. Monday; 3:30 p.m. Friday; 3:30 p.m. April 18; and 3:30 p.m. April 19.

An additional series of meetings will be conducted in Downriggers on the Water, 115 E. Railroad Ave., Suite 207, Port Angeles at 6 p.m. Monday; 5:30 p.m. Friday; 5:30 p.m. April 18; and 5:30 p.m. April 19.

A final meeting will be conducted online at 9:30 a.m. April 21.
