EYE ON JEFFERSON: Marine resources committee to provide report Monday

The three Jefferson County commissioners will hear a report from the Jefferson County Marine Resources Committee at a meeting Monday.

The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. in chambers, 1820 Jefferson St.

This annual report advises the commissioners about grants, accomplishments and goals in 2015 and the committee’s plans for 2016.

The report gives the commissioners an opportunity to provide input and guidance regarding marine resource education, outreach and nearshore restoration activities.

The consent agenda, where there is no discussion of an item unless requested by a member of the staff or public, is part of the regular 9 a.m. meeting.

Items on the consent agenda include:

■ A resolution creating a county road project to address permanent repairs on Dosewallips Road in Brinnon.

■ The allocation of $1,151,840 for recycling services.

■ An agreement to allocate $16,000 to the North Pacific Coast Marine Resources Committee.

■ An agreement to allocate an additional amount of $16,590 for a total of $108,510 to Jefferson County Public Health and the state Department of Fish and Wildlife.

■ An agreement to pay $110,885 for outsourced election-related printing services to Printery Communications.

Port Townsend city

The Port Townsend City Council does not meet this week.

Council office hours, during which members of the public can discuss any topic with a member of the City Council, will take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday in the mayor’s office at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.

Other city meetings are:

■ Library Advisory Board — 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Library Learning Center/Charles Pink House, 1256 Lawrence St.

■ Council Finance and Budget Committee — 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., third-floor conference room, City Hall, 250 Madison St.

■ Parks, Recreation and Trees Advisory Board — 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, first-floor conference room, City Hall.

■ Climate Action Committee — 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Cotton Building, 607 Water St.

■ Planning Commission — 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, council chambers, historic City Hall.

Schools

The Port Townsend School Board will hear a report from the Associated Student Body representative at a meeting Monday.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Gael Stuart Building, 1610 Blaine St.

It will be preceded by a board retreat from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the same location, at which strategic goals will be discussed.

The Chimacum School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the high school library, 91 West Valley Road, Chimacum.

Port of Port Townsend

Port of Port Townsend commissioners will hold a commissioner/senior staff retreat from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Andrews Suite, Port Ludlow Inn, 1 Heron Road.

It will also discuss and refine a packet to be used to search for a new executive director at a meeting Wednesday.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in chambers, 333 Benedict St.

Jefferson Healthcare

Jefferson Healthcare commissioners will review and possibly revise governance policies, procedures and bylaws at a special meeting Monday.

The meeting will be from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Jefferson Healthcare Conference Room, Suite 302, 2500 W. Sims Way, Port Townsend.

Public development authority

The Fort Worden Public Development Authority Executive Committee will hear a report about January financials at a meeting Monday.

The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. in Fort Worden Commons.
