The Jefferson County Board of Health will conduct a public hearing at 2:30 p.m. Thursday on revisions to its clean indoor air ordinance, which includes a ban on vaping.
The meeting will take place at the county health department, 615 Sheridan St., Port Townsend.
Board members also will discuss environmental public health regulatory reform, and they will review community health assessment data.
County commission
The three Jefferson County commissioners will listen to public comment and approve a consent agenda when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Items on the consent agenda include an agreement with KPGG Consulting Engineering in the amount of $100,550 for the culvert replacement project at Thorndyke Road.
An executive session is scheduled for 10 a.m. to discuss actual litigation.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend City Council will consider accepting a $40,000 donation for the city library fund when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
The library donation, from the estate of Karen Rachel McKee, will be for use as determined by the library director.
An additional $3,560 will be donated to the Port Townsend Library Collection.
The city also plans to hear a resolution that would support the formation of a state Arts Commission-certified Creative District.
Separately, council members will hear a briefing on the 2018 facility plan for a new off-shore outfall and grand funding options for the final design and construction of the sewer outfall.
Other city committee meetings, which are in conference rooms at City Hall, 250 Madison St., unless otherwise noted are:
• Housing committee — 3 p.m. Thursday, 540 Water St. The committee will review regulations on smaller lot cottage developments, review density requirements in the R-IV zone, and review the housing code amendment spreadsheet.
Port Townsend schools
The Port Townsend School Board will consider approval of the annual district report when it meets at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will be in the Gael Stuart Building, 1610 Blaine St.
The board also will hear reports on summer school, September enrollment and class size and from the district arts coordinator, according to the board calendar on its website at www.ptschools.org.
Quilcene schools
The Quilcene School Board will consider a final version of board goals when it meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The board meets in Room 9 at 294715 U.S. Highway 101.
Also at the regular meeting, the board will consider Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) waiver for all sports, approval for overnight athletic trips and sports camps, an administrative organization chart and Hi-Cap Plan approval, according to the board calendar on the website at www.qsd48.org.
Brinnon schools
The Brinnon School Board is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the school library, 46 Schoolhouse Road, Brinnon.
An agenda was not available as of Saturday.
Transit Authority
Jefferson Transit board members will conduct a special meeting when they gather at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The board will meet at the transit facility at 63 Four Corners Road.
Board members will discuss their position on Initiative 976, which seeks to limit motor vehicle taxes and fees.
The board also will hold an executive session regarding personnel.
Public Utility District
Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will discuss the 2020 draft budget when they meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at 63 Four Corners Road.
Commissioners also will discuss a policy change as it effects low-income households.
East Jefferson Fire-Rescue
East Jefferson Fire-Rescue commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Station 1-5, 35 Critter Lane, Port Townsend.
An agenda was not available Friday.
Development authority board
The Fort Worden Public Development Authority executive committee will discuss the Makers Square planning framework when it meets at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at the Seminar Building 297 at Fort Worden, 200 Battery Way.
