The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider authorizing the use of county facilities by the American Red Cross after disasters when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Commissioners plan three executive sessions — one from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on actual litigation, another from 11:30 a.m. to noon on potential litigation and a third from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on strategy or position for collective bargaining.
In addition to the disaster facilities item, also on the consent agenda are:
• Hearing notices for 10:15 a.m. July 15 on an amendment to the Pleasant Harbor Development agreement and another at 10 a.m. July 22 on a proposed request for proposal for leasing county property at 3000 Clearwater Road.
• Extending until the end of the year the agreement with the state to reevaluate the capacity of the Dosewallops State Park sewer system.
• An agreement considering control of knotweed.
• An agreement to participate in the Salish Behavioral Health Organization.
After lunch, commissioners will consider issuing authorization and concurrence for initiating negotiations for the purchase of 0.66-acre piece of property north of the Big Quilcene River.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend City Council will conduct a public hearing on proposed amendments to the portion of the comprehensive plan dealing with the Rainier Street-Upper Sims Way Subarea Plan when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
The council also will consider establishing the Port Townsend Public Library Internet policy, a contract for city-wide striping ad a resolution appointing the authorized signature for banking services.
Public Utility District
Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will consider an agreement with the Northwest Open Access Network (NoaNet) when they meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at 63 Four Corners Road.
Commissioners also will consider a bid award for South Discovery Bay tree trimming, hear a report on the concern about low water flow in the Quilcene School District and see a draft proposal for non-exempt salary changes.
Fire District 3
Clallam County Fire District 3 commissioners will conduct a public hearing on a proposed renewal of a EMS levy before considering a resolution to offer the measure to the voters when they meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at 323 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.
Commissioners could make a decision Tuesday about whether or not to place the proposal on the November ballot
The district covers the east side of Clallam County with a small portion in Jefferson County.
