The three Jefferson County commissioners will meet with representatives of the Port Gamble S’Klallam tribe about potential environmental impacts of the proposed Pleasant Harbor Master Planned Resort when they meet Monday.
The government-to-government meeting will be at 1:30 p.m., after the commissioners’ meeting begins at 9 a.m., in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Commissioners designated the master planned resort in 2008 and issued a Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on Dec. 9, 2015.
Raising issues tribal officials felt were not covered in the statement, the tribe requested a meeting.
Commissioners also will conduct a public hearing on first-quarter budget appropriations and extensions.
Among the requests are $10,329 for safety and security, $10,000 for the boating safety fund and $2,135 for the treasurer’s office.
The boating safety allocation was to have come out of the sheriff’s budget, but he requested that it be drawn from the general fund.
Items on the consent agenda include:
■ An agreement with Marc Bolan Consultants regarding confidential data input of protected health information, with no financial impact.
■ An $18,175 contract with Zephyr’s Inc. of Allyn to demolish and remove two properties in the Duckabush and Big Quilcene floodplains. Funding is provided by the state.
■ A $4,505 contract with Kim Ninnemann and Dan McShane to provide Phase 1 environmental site assessments of up to five properties in a floodplain north of the Big Quilcene River. Funding is provided by the state.
■ A $700 contract with Reynolds Training and Consulting for website maintenance for the Jefferson County Public Health Department.
■ An agreement to allocate $47,000 to the Jefferson County Conservation District to promote conservation and protect and improve water quality.
■ Allocation of $5,000 in lodging tax funds to Quilcene Brinnon Dollars for Scholars.
■ A change order adding $35,000 to the contract with Bruch & Bruch Construction Inc. of Port Angeles for additional road realignment of Undi Road in West Jefferson County. The change increases the contract to $144,000.
■ A $791,447 contract with Jordan Excavating Inc. of Port Angeles for culvert replacement on Upper Hoh Road. The project is funded by the Federal Highway Administration.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend City Council General Services & Special Projects Committee will discuss a policy for the city’s public video system when it meets Tuesday.
The panel, which acts as an advisory board to the City Council, will meet from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the third-floor conference room at City Hall, 250 Madison St.
The policy establishes parameters for the use of the video system in public or city-owned places to enhance public safety and security in a manner consistent with accepted rights of privacy.
The Port Townsend City Council meeting has been canceled.
No council office hours are scheduled this week.
A special meeting of the Climate Action Committee is set from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Cotton Building, 607 Water St.
Jefferson Transit
Jefferson Transit board members will consider authorizing the general manager to sign the final acceptance of the Maintenance, Operations and Administration Center when they meet Tuesday.
The board will meet at 1:30 p.m. at the transit facility at 63 Four Corners Road, Port Townsend.
The board also will consider adopting standing rules for the citizen advisory committee and authorizing the general manager to sign a revocable license for the PTeRider’s use of the Jefferson Transit shelter on Water Street.
Jefferson Healthcare
Jefferson Healthcare commissioners will hear the administrator’s report at a meeting Wednesday.
The meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the Jefferson Healthcare Conference Room, 2500 W. Sims Way, Port Townsend.
Jefferson PUD
Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will discuss building space allocation when they meet Monday.
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. at 250 Chimacum Road, Port Hadlock.
Fire
The East Jefferson Fire-Rescue Board of Commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at station 1-5, 35 Critter Lane, Port Townsend.
