The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider approving a state Department of Transportation trail lease for the Olympic Discovery Trail project when they meet Monday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Items on the consent agenda also include:
• An agreement for $2,500 annually to contract with Northwest Water Systems Inc. for Brinnon Community Water System management.
• An agreement on current general terms and conditions between the state Department of Health and Human Services and the county.
• An agreement in the amount of $1,940.55, plus $115 per hour, for Jefferson Audio Video Systems Inc. to maintain the video conferencing systems in the county commissioners’ chambers.
• An agreement with the county Civil Service Commission for $999 to create an eligibility list for hiring at the patrol sergeant level for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
• An agreement for $987,654.32 for Interwest Construction Inc. on construction of the South Discovery Bay segment of the Olympic Discovery Trail project.
• A declaration of restrictive covenant to link two county parcels at 295312 U.S. Highway 101 in Quilcene. This would comply with environmental health permit requirements for septic and water service.
• The reappointment of Kim Rafferty to the Jefferson County Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board.
Commissioners also will hear a fourth-quarter county income report from the state Department of Natural Resources.
At 11 a.m., the board will go into executive session with the county administrator, clerk of the board/human resources manager, prosecuting attorney, civil deputy prosecuting attorney and outside legal counsel on actual litigation.
During the commissioners’ briefing session at 1:30 p.m., commissioners will hear a first-quarter overview from the Department of Community Development leadership team and an update on the Midori Farm Conservation Futures Project and proposed conservation easement and agreement.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend City Council will go over council rules, committee assignments, city citizen advisory boards and recommended organization charts for city employees and committees when it meets Monday.
The workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
Other city committee meetings, which are in conference rooms at City Hall, 250 Madison St., are:
• Port Townsend Planning Commission — 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, second-floor council chambers. The commission will host a public hearing on revisions to the municipal code on flood damage prevention and the Howard Street sub-area plan.
• Lodging Tax Advisory Committee — 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, third-floor conference room.
Port Townsend schools
The Port Townsend School Board will consider approval of the 2016-21 strategic plan when it meets Monday.
The work/study meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Gael Stuart Building, 1610 Blaine St.
Items also on the consent agenda include approval of district fundraising and bid requirements.
Port of Port Townsend
Port of Port Townsend commissioners will consider approval of a contract for $70,000 with Maul Foster Alongi to complete work on a long-term use and development strategy for Point Hudson when they meet Wednesday.
The regular session will begin at 1 p.m. in chambers, 333 Benedict St. It will be preceded by a public workshop at 9:30 a.m.
Port commissioners also will hear a report from EDC Team Jefferson and consider a report appointing an agent to receive claims for damages.
The port also will hear a first reading on a yard update and proposal related to the use of hoist, storage, labor and other services.
The port will go into executive session on potential litigation.
At the public workshop, port commissioners will discuss the Industrial Development District and economic development in Jefferson County.
Jefferson Healthcare
Jefferson Healthcare hospital commissioners will conduct a community forum on the Jefferson Healthcare 2017-20 Strategic Plan on Thursday.
The special meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Quilcene Community Center, 294952 U.S. Highway 101.
Chimacum School Board
The Chimacum School Board will meet Wednesday.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at Chimacum High School, 91 West Valley Road.

Peninsula College
Peninsula College trustees will hear a report from President Luke Robins on Tuesday.
Trustees will meet at 2 p.m. on the Forks campus of Peninsula College, 481 S. Forks Ave.
