EYE ON JEFFERSON: County to consider comprehensive plan docket

The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider the planning commission’s final docket for the 2021 comprehensive plan amendment cycle when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

Commissioners will hear an update on COVID-19 from Dr. Tom Locke at 9:45 a.m., will discuss the transfer of vaccination services from Jefferson Healthcare to Jefferson County Public Health and the Department of Emergency Services at 11:30 a.m. and will consider a recommendation from the broadband action team to hire two new county staff members for broadband development at 2:30 p.m.

The consent agenda includes an agreement with the state Department of Transportation regarding bridge load re-rating countywide.

Association of counties

The Washington State Association of Counties will hear a weekly update on COVID-19 when they meet at noon Monday.

Both Clallam and Jefferson counties will participate.

Port of Port Townsend commissioners will hear the presentation “Salmon in the Salish Sea and Beyond” from Jacques White and Joseph Bogaard and discuss Quilcene plans during a workshop meeting at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The commissioners will hear a marketing and communications update from Scott Wilson during a regular session at 1 p.m.
