Jefferson County commissioners will conduct a public hearing on proposed amendments to the county Comprehensive Plan and Unified Development Code at 6 p.m. Monday.
The hearing will be in the Superior Courtroom at the County Courthouse at 1820 Jefferson St.
Earlier in the day — at 9 a.m. — commissioners will meet in regular session in their chambers at the courthouse. An executive session is set for 1:30 p.m. to discuss potential litigation.
At the evening public hearing, commissioners will take written and oral comment on the county planning commission’s recommendations for amendments.
Written comment will be taken before and after the public hearing until 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 8 via email at jeffbocc@co.jefferson.wa.us or by U.S. mail to Jefferson County commissioners, P.O. Box 1220, Port Townsend, WA, 98368.

Commissioners will deliberate after the comment period ends. A final decision is expected before the end of the summer.
At the morning regular meeting, commissioners will consider sealed bid instructions for sale of a surplus house owned by the county. The house is at 161 Rodgers St., in Quilcene. Bids would be accepted until 9:30 a.m. July 9.
They also will continue deliberations on development regulations for the proposed Pleasant Harbor Master Planned Resort.
Items on the consent agenda include:
• A settlement agreement and release of claims with Waste Connections, doing business as Olympic Disposal. The company will reimburse Jefferson County $1,163 for repairs of damage to Dosewallips Road. Damage occurred in April.
• A hearing notice for 10 a.m. June 25 on a 5 percent technology fee and related amendments to the Jefferson County Code Fee Appendix.
• Jefferson County Conservation Futures Fund grant of $110,000 to be matched by Jefferson Land Trust for an Iglitzin Farm conservation easement.
• Appointment of the Central Services director as the county Public Records Officer.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend Arts Commission will discuss public art with City Manager David Timmons when it meets at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The panel will meet in the third-floor conference room of City Hall, 250 Madison St.
The committee also will consider a budget update and hear funding reports for Key City Public Theatre and RainShadow Chorale.
The Port Townsend City Council meeting originally scheduled for Monday has been canceled.

Port Townsend schools
The Port Townsend School Board will conduct a work-study session when it meets at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will be in Room M-130 in the high school orchestra room at 1500 Van Ness St.

Public Utility District
Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will hear an update on chief financial officer recruitment when they meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at 63 Four Corners Road in the Jefferson County Transit building.
They also will hear of 2019 strategic budget objectives and of a contract for $18,700 that staff members have signed with Ross Ardrey of NW Management Consulting to conduct a survey of salaries for non-union positions, excluding the general manager. Commissioners will be briefed on the project June 19.
Jefferson Healthcare
Jefferson Healthcare commissioners will hear an independent auditor’s report when they meet at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The special meeting will be in the Victor J. Dirksen Conference Room on the first floor of 834 Sheridan St.
Commissioners will receive the annual Independent Auditors Report from Tom Dingus, Zarecor & Associates PLLC. The report will include a review of the 2017 financial statement audit and related financial statements, single audit report, and communication with those charged with governance.
No action will be taken.
Fire District No. 3
The Clallam County Fire District No. 3 board of commissioners will discuss a proposed levy lid lift resolution when it meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The special board meeting will be at the district’s Headquarters Station, 323 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.
The district covers the east side of Clallam County with a small portion in Jefferson County.
