Dr. Tom Locke, county health officer, will update commissioners on the virus in the county at 9:45 a.m.
At 1:30 p.m., Patty Charnas, county COVID finance section chief, will brief commissioners on county costs, funding and Coronavirus Relief Funds.
Commissioners also will conduct a hearing on 2020 second quarter budget appropriations and extensions for various county departments at 10:15 a,.m.
Items on the consent agenda include setting a hearing on the Port Ludlow Drainage District assessment system for 10:30 a.m. Aug. 17, and a call for bids for repairs on the Upper Hoh Road between mileposts 7.9 and 8.0.
Bids will be accepted until 9:30 a.m. Aug. 10.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend City Council will consider final approval of a ban on single-use plastic straws when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The council also will consider an agreement with the Port of Port Townsend for resource sharing and public works construction services.
The council also will conduct its six-month evaluation of it new city manager, John Mauro.
Mauro averaged 4.81 on eight questions in which council members rated him from 1 to 5, with five being the top grade.
Port of Port Townsend
Port of Port Townsend commissioners will hear a year-to-date financial report when they meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The Chimacum School Board will conduct a budget hearing when it meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will review a rate-setting presentation when they meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
