The three Jefferson County commissioners will hold a hearing on a proposed ordinance amending the Pleasant Harbor Development Agreement, with a briefing by Community Development Director Patty Charnas and Chief Civil Deputy Prosecutor Philip Hunsucker, at the regular meeting Monday.
The 10:15 a.m. hearing will follow the regular meeting, which will start at 9 a.m. in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Items on the consent agenda include acceptance of the resignation of Sonja Hammar from the Climate Action Committee; appointment of Diane McDade, Cara Loriz, Dave Seabrook and Shelley Jaye to the Climate Action Committee; and approval of an interlocal purchasing agreement for upfitting propane/bi-fuel vehicles with the City of Longview.
Two executive sessions are scheduled at 11:15 and 11:35 a.m.
The first session regards potential litigation and the second regards actual litigation.
Following lunch, the commissioners will hear a presentation on citizen efforts to preserve 30 acres of state Department of Natural Resources forest near Ocean Grove and an update on the Quilcene Food Bank.
Ferry Advisory
A special meeting of the Jefferson County-Port Townsend Ferry Advisory Committee will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in the first floor conference room in the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Among items on the agenda for discussion are state Transportation Commission tariffs; proposed fare increases and capital surcharges; a Washington State Ferries 2019 Alternate Service Plan and service disruption for the week of June 23 or longer.
Board of Equalization
The Jefferson County Board of Equalization will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the basement level commissioners’ chambers of the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
On the agenda is one assessment correction and multiple determinations continued from the June 26 meeting.
Board of Health
The Jefferson County Board of Health will consider revisions to the county’s Clean Indoor Air Ordinance Regarding Tobacco and Vaping Exposures when it meets at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will be at 615 Sheridan St., Port Townsend.
Also on the agenda is a policy regarding closure of outdoor public events during episodes of poor air quality.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend City Council will consider Ordinance 3229, adopting a Comprehensive Plan related to the Rainier Street-Upper Sims Way subarea and amending the city’s land-use map when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The council is also expected to have a first reading of Ordinance 3230, the city’s 2019 Water System Plan.
It will also make a number of appointments to the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and the Climate Action Committee.
The meeting will be in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.

Port Townsend schools
The Port Townsend School Board will hold a public hearing on the 2019-20 budget at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
The public hearing will be followed by a regular business meeting at 5:30 p.m.
The meeting will be in the Gael Stuart Building, 1610 Blaine St.
Port of Port Townsend
Port of Port Townsend commissioners have scheduled their next meeting for Thursday, July 25.
This special meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at 333 Benedict St.
Chimacum School Board
The Chimacum School Board meet next at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 24.
The meeting will be at Chimacum High School, 91 West Valley Road.
Quilcene School Board
The Quilcene School Board will consider adoption of the 2019-20 budget when it meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Also on the agenda are the 2018-19 fees and fines schedule and approval of new certificated contracts.
The board will meet in Room 9 at 294715 U.S. Highway 101.
Jefferson Transit
Jefferson Transit board members will meet next at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27.
The board will meet at the transit facility at 63 Four Corners Road.
Public Utility District
Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will consider a water rate increase proposal when they meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at 63 Four Corners Road.
According to a consultant’s report, a new rate for the highest 1 percent of all bills would affect about 143 users and encourage more efficient use.
The users receiving the highest 1 percent of bills use 11.2 percent of total water, an average of 48,672 gallons per property, according to the report.
The rate to be considered would be $1 per 1,000 gallons with a threshold of 30,000 gallons.
The current top rate is for use above 10,000 gallons.
A discussion is planned for Tuesday’s meeting with approval expected at a later date.
East Jefferson Fire-Rescue
East Jefferson Fire-Rescue commissioners will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 24.
The meeting will be at Station 1-5, 35 Critter Lane, Port Townsend.
Development authority
The Fort Worden Public Development Authority board will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Commons Building 210, room A, at Fort Worden, 200 Battery Way.
The Fort Worden sewer project, glamping and Makers Square construction projects will be reviewed.
There will also be updates or discussion about leasing, the Hospitality Leadership Certificate, a Makers Square operations plan, the five-year strategic direction and a review of the Old School 4th of July celebration.
An executive session to review personnel matters and lease terms is planned.
Peninsula Housing Authority
The Peninsula Housing Authority board will discuss an executive director succession plan at its Wednesday meeting.
The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. in the commissioners meeting room in the basement of the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Peninsula Housing Authority serves Clallam and Jefferson counties.
Fire District 3
Clallam County Fire District 3 commissioners will hear a report on risk reduction and planning at 1 p.m. Tuesday at district headquarters, 323 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.
The board will also consider an ambulance remount authorization, standard operating procedures for air management and purchasing authority, and second quarter financial reports and volunteer reimbursement.
The district covers the east side of Clallam County with a small portion in Jefferson County.
