The three Jefferson County commissioners will discuss and consider approval of a clean water ordinance when they meet Monday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in chambers, 1820 Jefferson St.
This continues a discussion that has taken place during the past two commissioner meetings.
The proposal under consideration would assess a $20-per-year assessment from each tax parcel to fund a program to establish a steady funding source for water conservation.
The fee would not be assessed for those taxpayers who already have adequate water systems.
Monday’s discussion will center on what parcels would be exempt from the assessment.
Items on the consent agenda include:
■ A resolution to vacate a portion of Black Point Road
■ An agreement to allocate $37,570 to develop a closed landfill and septage groundwater analysis.
■ An agreement to allocate $268,652 for the Quilcene Replacement Shop Project.
■ An agreement to fund a Jefferson County Courthouse security audit in the amount of $27,000.
Port Townsend City
The Port Townsend City Council will discuss a long-term strategy for the Mountain View complex when it meets Monday.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
The council will consider directing the city manager to negotiate lease terms with the Port Townsend School District.
The latest proposal shortens the lease term from 30 years to 15, with an estimated project budget of $2.6 million, which would pay for some repairs.
The proposed agreement also would allow continued operation of the police station along with community nonprofit entities at Mountain View, including the Red Cross, food bank, YMCA and KPTZ-FM.
The council also will discuss an application for Public Works Trust Fund low-interest loans, grant applications to the state for street and sidewalk projects, and awarding a contract for Port Townsend Library carpeting.
Council office hours, during which members of the public can discuss any topic with a member of the City Council, take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday in the mayor’s office at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
The Non-Motorized Transportation Advisory Board will meet from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday in the first-floor conference room at City Hall, 250 Madison St.
Port Townsend schools
The Port Townsend School Board will discuss the district calendar and student fees for the 2014-15 school year at a meeting Monday.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Gael Stuart Building, 1630 Blaine St.
Jefferson Healthcare
Jefferson Healthcare hospital commissioners will review governance policy and board bylaws when they meet Tuesday.
The special meeting will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Home Health Conference Room, 2500 E. Sims Way.
Public development authority
The Fort Worden Lifelong Learning Center Public Development Authority executive committee will meet to discuss reservation system training at a meeting Monday.
The meeting will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Building 502 at Fort Worden State Park.
Jefferson Transit
The Jefferson Transit Board of Directors will discuss the issuance of bonds for the construction of a new maintenance and administration facility at a special meeting Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at the agency’s office, 1615 W. Sims Way.
