The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider allocating $831,064 in grants from the Public Infrastructure Fund, including $150,000 to the Port of Port Townsend for the south jetty renovation, at meeting that will begin at 9 a.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Grants are proposed for:
• Port of Port Townsend, $150,000 for Point Hudson south jetty work.
• Two projects for the Jefferson County Public Utility District, $60,064 for the Water Street telecom infrastructure and $106,000 for phase 1 — engineering, design and permitting — of the Quilcene water tank.
• City of Port Townsend, $$300,000 for the Seventh Street corridor construction.
• Jefferson County, $65,000 for Quilcene Complete Streets project and Center Road sidewalk improvements.
• Fort Worden Public Development Authority, $150,000 for employee housing.
Commissioners also will hear a briefing about the possible application and cost for Salish Behavioral Health Organization to become an administrative services organization.
At 10 a.m., commissioners will consider bids for publication of county legal notices.
Items on the consent agenda include:
• Setting a hearing for 10 a.m. March 18 on a Community Development Block Grant.
• A resolution activating the treasurer’s trust fund.
• A $3,200 contract for maintenance of video and audio recording for District Court.
• An agreement on funding for the Big Quilcene Riparian Protection project.
• An interlocal agreement with Chimacum School District for its contribution to Memorial Field lighting.
• A bid award for pavement markings on county roads for $402,330.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend City Council will conduct a public hearing on the 2019 Stormwater Management Plan when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
The hearing is expected to be continued to March 18.
At 7:30 p.m., the council will begin a special workshop meeting to hear a briefing from Peckham and McKenney on city manager recruitment.
Port Townsend schools
The Port Townsend School Board will conduct a work/study meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will be in Room S-11 at the 1610 Blaine St.
No agenda was available as of Saturday.
Public Utility District
Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will consider a Century Link agreement when they meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at 63 Four Corners Road.
The goal of the possible dark fiber swap with Century Link is to provide increased access to high speed broadband to Marrowstone Island.
Commissioners also will consider the Magellan broadband survey and a salary adjustment for Don McDaniel.
They will consider a resolution concerning a Northwest Open Access Network (NoaNet) loan.
Conservation district
The Jefferson County Conservation District board will discuss the annexation of the city of Port Townsend into East Jefferson Fire Rescue District when they meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The board will meet in the Jaeway/Boulton Conference room at 205 W. Patison St., Port Hadlock.
The board also will consider the Jefferson Landworks agreement, an annual review of state law concerning powers and duties of supervisors and powers of the district, employee evaluations, staffing and merit pay policy.
An executive session is planned.
Fire District 3
Clallam County Fire District 3 commissioners will consider ratifying a collective bargaining agreement when they meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Commissioners will meet at 323 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.
They also will consider a memorandum of understanding with Local 2933, employee compensation and a training center classroom.
The district covers the east side of Clallam County with a small portion in Jefferson County.
