The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider an application for federal funds to construct the Port Hadlock Wastewater project at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. with the reading of public comments, which can be submitted to Public Comments@co.jefferson.wa.us before the 9 a.m. start time.

The application would be to the federal Economic Development Administration. The grant would not pay for all of the project. Eligible costs are estimated at $16.4 million; the EDC typically funds such projects at $10 million at most with a minimum match of 20 percent, the staff agenda memo said.
“Significant grant assistance is necessary to bring costs down so that the system is more affordable for the sewer customers, and lack of availability of large grants has been the primary reason the project has not been constructed,” the memo said.
At 9:45 a.m., commissioners will hear an update on COVID-19 from Dr. Tom Locke, county health officer.
At 10:30 a.m., commissioners will conduct a hearing on a Community Development Block Grant Public Services and Local Micro enterprise Assistance Program and temporary housing facilities that address COVID-19 impacts.
There is no consent agenda this week.
Public Utility District
Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will consider finalizing an agreement with Jefferson Communications 9-1-1 when they meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Commissioners also will consider the draft 2021 budget, a Port Townsend Paper Mill wheeling agreement and provide taxing authority guidance to staff.

Clallam County Fire District 3 commissioners will consider a resolution on COVID-19 supplemental leave when they meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
