The three Jefferson County commissioners will address bids for two projects when they meet Monday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in chambers, 1820 Jefferson St.
One is a bid opening that will award the contract for the publication of legal notices.
The bid will be awarded at the first regular April meeting of the county commissioners.
The second bid will be for a $498,936 contract for Dowans Creek Road. The project will move the road out of the landslide area.
Seventy-five percent of the project will be funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The state and county road fund will provide 12.5 percent each.
Items on the consent agenda include:
■ The scheduling of a hearing for 10 a.m. March 23 in chambers to discuss a Community Development Block Grant for 2015 and a public services grant application.
■ An agreement to commission a septic system assessment for the Jefferson County jail in the amount of $1,100.
■ An agreement to begin construction of the grant-funded state highway right of way in Chimacum for the Safe Routes to Schools project.
■ Agreements to allocate 2015 hotel-motel grant funding in the amount of $8,500 for the Quilcene Historical Museum, $15,000 for the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce and $23,247 for the Forks Chamber of Commerce.
Port Townsend city
Port Townsend City Council office hours, during which members of the public can discuss any topic with a member of the City Council, take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The meetings are in the mayor’s office at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
Councilman Robert Gray will be available from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Deputy Mayor Kris Nelson will be in the office from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Mayor David King will be available from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday.
The council does not meet this week.
No other city meetings are scheduled.
Port Townsend schools
The Port Townsend School Board will review self-assessment results when it meets Monday.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Gael Stuart Building, 2630 Blaine St.
Chimacum schools
The Chimacum School Board will discuss the district’s February budget status when it meets Wednesday.
The board will meet at 6 p.m. in the high school library, 91 West Valley Road.
The board also will hear a student director report, a kindergarten-through-fifth-grade update and a staff presentation.
Port of Port Townsend
Port of Port Townsend commissioners will consider approving a contract with Team Jefferson when they meet Wednesday.
The regular meeting will begin at 1 p.m. in chambers, 333 Benedict St. An executive session will be conducted to discuss real estate matters
The $25,000 Team Jefferson contract would be for economic development services between March 1 and Dec. 31.
Commissioners also will hear an operations report and discuss financial reports for December.
The meeting will be preceded by a 9:30 a.m. workshop.
Scott Bauer of A. Dashen & Associates will update commissioners on refinancing the Point Hudson bond, Peter Quinn of Team Jefferson will speak and Cynthia Weed of K&L Gates will tell of the port’s power and authority as an industrial development corporation and industrial development district.
Peninsula College trustees
Peninsula College trustees will discuss tenure when they meet Tuesday.
The meeting will be at 2 p.m. in the Cornaby Center (A-12) on the Peninsula College campus at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
Trustees also will discuss policies on holidays for faith and conscience and teleworking.
They will hear reports from college President Luke Robins, the Associated Student Council and the Faculty Senate.
