The three Jefferson County commissioners plan to raise the prosecuting attorney’s salary and open bids for the purchase of mid-sized hybrid sedans when they meet Monday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
The Jefferson County prosecuting attorney’s salary, which is based on Superior Court judges salaries as set by the state, was set at $127,857 in September 2013.
Commissioners will consider raising it to $130,783.
The county will continue to contribute $52,602, and the balance of $78,181 will be reimbursed by the state.
The hybrid vehicles are projected to be driven about 12,000 miles each year and will be purchased individually as cars reach the end of their useful life.
Commissioners also will consider:
■ An agreement to support Nurse Home Visitation Services in the amount of $176,740.
■ An agreement to rent portable bleachers for Memorial Field in the amount of $3,500.
■ An agreement to allocate an additional $11,272 for the Safe Routes to School program in Chimacum.
■ An agreement to allocate $16,886 for annual telephone maintenance at the courthouse.
Port Townsend city
The Port Townsend City Council will conduct a public hearing on a water system plan and consider final approval of marijuana zoning and the expansion of areas available for street performers and merchants when it meets Monday.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers in historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
The 2014 three-year water system plan would be submitted to the state Department of Health for approval. At the end of three years, the city’s new water treatment plant is expected to be operational.
The marijuana zoning changes affect both recreational and medical marijuana.
The zoning changes for street performers and vendors provides more space for them and adds an option for those who need more space.
The council also will consider authorizing the city manager to sign funding documents with the U.S. Department of Agriculture for a grant and loan for drinking water facilities.
A state Department of Ecology award will be presented to the city of Port Townsend Bio-Solids Wastewater Treatment Plant. It was one of 125 in the state that fully complied with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit in 2013.
The Western State Arts Federation will present a “creative vitality index” in which Jefferson County was rated 1.49 compared with the state at 1.03 and the nation at 1.
Council office hours, during which members of the public can discuss any topic with a member of the City Council, take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the mayor’s office at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.

Jefferson PUD
Jefferson County Public Utility District commissioners will discuss salary ranges for employees when they meet Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. at 250 Chimacum Road in Port Hadlock.
Commissioners also will consider awarding a contract for construction of the Sparling Well.
It will consider approval of a district harassment policy.
Jefferson Healthcare
The Jefferson Healthcare commissioners meeting originally set for Wednesday has been canceled.
