The Jefferson County commissioners are expected to adopt the 2018-19 Jefferson County Cost Allocation Plan when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Items on the consent agenda include:
• Resolution adopting a salary schedule for the FLSA and union-exempt management and professional employees for 2019.
• Resolution declaring certain property as surplus and authorizing its disposal.
• Adoption of an agreement for public defense services with the state Office of Public Defense in the amount of $34,142.
• Adoption of an agreement for lower Big Quilcene River floodplain acquisitions; the county will provide $35,811 in addition to $202,296 in state funding for $238,737.
• Adoption of an agreement for the North Hood Canal Pollution and Correction Project in the amount of $121,351 in addition to $364,055 from the state Department of Ecology.
• Adoption of an agreement for demolition and replanting for the lower Big Quilcene River floodplain. The county’s contribution will be $35,810.
• Adoption of an agreement for 2019 hotel-motel lodging tax grant funding in the amount of $65,612 to the Jefferson County Historical Society. Other agreements will provide lodging tax funding to the Olympic Peninsula Gateway Visitor Center ($72,500), Centrum ($12,000), Tourism Coordinating Council ($179,397), WSU Extension Farm Tour ($15,000), Jefferson County Public Works, Parks and Recreation ($42,873), and the North Hood Canal Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center ($64,200).
• Acceptance of the following advisory board resignations: Al Cairns as the Port of Port Townsend representative to the Jefferson County Solid Waste Advisory Committee; Chris Giraldes as representative to DM Disposal and Olympic Disposal Companies; and Carol Cummins as citizen representative to District 1.
• Appointment of Al Cairns as an alternate representative to the Jefferson County Solid Waste Advisory Committee.
PT City Council
The Port Townsend City Council meeting slated for 6:30 p.m. Monday has been canceled.
The council’s Ad Hod Committee on Housing, which was scheduled to meet 3 p.m. Thursday in the City Hall council chambers at 5440 Water St., has also been canceled.
Other city committee meetings, which are in conference rooms at City Hall, 250 Madison St., unless otherwise noted are:
• Community Task Force on City Manager Recruitment will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the City Hall council chambers, 540 Water St., second floor.
Jefferson Transit
Jefferson Transit board members are expected to adopt the 2019 proposed budget when they meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The board also expects to adopt a 2019 meeting schedule and a resolution for disposition of surplus property more than $5,000.
The board will meet at the transit facility at 63 Four Corners Road.
Jefferson Healthcare
Jefferson Healthcare commissioners will hear financial, quality and administrators reports when they meet at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The board will meet in the Victor J. Dirksen Conference Room on the first floor of 834 Sheridan St.
The commissioners will also go into executive session to discuss a personnel/CEO evaluation.
The Jefferson Healthcare commissioner meeting scheduled for Dec. 26 has been canceled.
Fire District 3
Clallam County Fire District 3 commissioners will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
The district board will vote on an interlocal service agreement, an employment agreement for its finance manager and multiple standard operating procedures for structure fires, training and incident management.
It will also hear a report from the fire chief and another on risk reduction.
The district covers the east side of Clallam County with a small portion in Jefferson County.
