The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider awarding a contract to Lakeside Industries Inc. for their bid amount of $681,103 for work on the Center Road overlay project, Phase 5, when they meet Monday.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Other items on the consent agenda include payroll warrants and consideration of an employment agreement with Mark McCauley to serve as director of central services for $9,169.20 per month.
On the regular agenda, commissioners will open bids for Quilcene solid waste drop box site improvements.
At the county administrator briefing session at 1:30 p.m., the board will hear about miscellaneous items, calendar coordinator and future agenda items.
Port Townsend City Council
The Port Townsend City Council will hear several recommendations for levels of service and options when it meets Monday.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
The council will hear options for funding capital, maintenance and operational costs of transportation, parks and the library, as well as fire services within the city and possible tax implications of those services.
Council members also will review inbox items for discussion.
Also meeting this week is the Civil Service Commission from 3:15 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday in the second-floor conference room at City Hall, 250 Madison St.
Among the agenda topics are taking action on certifying a hiring eligibility list for entry-level police officer and lateral-level police officer, and an update on the status of police department hiring.
Port Townsend schools
The Port Townsend School Board members will hold a self-assessment and annual superintendent evaluation when they meet Monday.
The work/study meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in Room S-11 of the Gael Stuart Building, 1610 Blaine St.
The board will consider action on approving the high school football team field trip to McMinnville, Ore., and high school girls basketball summer trips.
It will hear reports from students, the board and the superintendent, as well as an update on the McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation grant for K-5 math.
Board members also will plan calendar items for 2017-18 and review policy.
Port of Port Townsend
Port of Port Townsend commissioners will discuss a resolution authorizing the executive director to apply to the state Department of Natural Resources to amend the port’s port management agreement as to term/duration when they meet Wednesday.
The regular session will begin at 1 p.m. at the Old Alcohol Plant, 310 Hadlock Bay Road, Port Hadlock. It will be preceded by a public workshop at 9:30 a.m.
Other items on the agenda include an update from the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding, a resurfacing project on the port’s workyard, a draft land lease with PYR Inc. and April 2017 financials.
The port will go into executive session to discuss litigation and potential litigation.
Chimacum School Board
The Chimacum School Board will consider final approval of a technology purchase when it meets Wednesday.
The work study will begin at 6 p.m. in the Chimacum High School library, 91 West Valley Road.
There will also be time for community forum feedback on discipline presentation, the attendance accountability plan, test score analysis (2015-16) and getting community into the schools.
The board is expected to recognize a student director and hear information on district response to safety incidents.
The board will go into executive session to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a public employee.
Jefferson PUD Citizen Advisory Board
Jefferson County Public Utility District Citizen Advisory Board will hear a subcommittee report on broadband delivery strategies when it meets Monday.
The meeting will begin at 2:30 p.m. at 310 Four Corners Road, Port Townsend.
The board also will hear discussion on community solar and present and future study areas.
Peninsula College
Peninsula College trustees are expected to elect board officers when they meet Tuesday.
Trustees will meet at 2 p.m. in the Cornaby Center on the Peninsula College Port Angeles campus at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
Items on the action agenda include 2017-18 board meeting dates, the 2018-19 and 2019-20 academic year calendars, and resolutions on budget approval.
After the public forum, trustees will hear various standing reports.
An executive session may be held.
Board of Health
The Jefferson County Board of Health will meet Thursday.
The regular meeting will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Jefferson County Public Health, 615 Sheridan St., Port Townsend.
