The Jefferson County commissioners will conduct an informational session on a draft ordinance concerning commercial shooting facilities when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Items on the consent agenda include:
• An agreement for $20,000 from lodging tax revenue for the Jefferson County Tourism Coordinating Council.
• An agreement on receipt of state funding for the Guardian Ad Litem program for state-dependent children.
Joint meeting
The Port Townsend City Council Ad Hoc Committee on Housing and the Jefferson County commissioners will conduct a joint meeting at 3 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in commissioners’ chambers at the Jefferson County Courthouse.
The meeting is for continued discussion of interlocal agreements on homelessness and affordable housing using funding from recording fees.
PT City Council
The Port Townsend City Council will discuss a water system plan update amendment to service area boundaries when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
The workshop will be in council chambers at historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
Council members also will discuss recommendations from the Climate Action Committee and the Rainier Street and Upper Sims Subarea Plan.
Other city committee meetings, which are in conference rooms at City Hall, 250 Madison St., unless otherwise noted are:
• Hearing Examiner public hearing — 1:30 p.m. Monday, council chambers in historic City Hall, 540 Water St.
On the agenda is setback variance.
• Public Art Committee — 3 p.m. Wednesday, first-floor conference room.
Port of Port Townsend
Port of Port Townsend commissioners are expected to review applicants and select members of the Leasing Policy Advisory Committee when they meet in regular session at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
The meeting will be in chambers at 333 Benedict St. It will be preceded by a public workshop at 9:30 a.m.
During the morning workshop, commissioners will consider a recommendation for an amount to budget for the port’s portion of 2019 property tax levy, projected year-end results for 2018 and budget priorities for 2019.
Chimacum School
The Chimacum School Board will hear of the superintendent’s observations on the first day of school when it meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The meeting at Chimacum High School, 91 West Valley Road, will begin with an executive session to discuss contract negotiations. The open session will start at 6:30 p.m.
The board also will be updated on the task force being formed to make Chimacum the school of choice.
Quilcene School Board
The Quilcene School Board will conduct self-evaluation and goal-setting at a special meeting at 6 p.m. Monday.
The board will meet in Room 9 at 294715 U.S. Highway 101.
It also will discuss strategic planning.
Strait ERN
The Orca Task Force will present an update at the meeting of the Strait of Juan de Fuca Ecosystem Recovery Network on Friday.
The meeting will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe’s Red Cedar Hall in the Community Center on Old Blyn Highway in Blyn.
The Strait ERN is one of the Puget Sound Partnership’s Local Integrating Organizations working to implement the Action Agenda for Puget Sound protection and recovery.
It includes all of the tribes and local jurisdictions, and most of the non-governmental organizations, educational institutions and key business groups with interest in the Strait Action Area, which extends from Cape Flattery near Neah Bay east to Point Wilson in Port Townsend, said coordinator John Cambalik.
