Clallam County commissioners will discuss fireworks regulations Monday.
The work session will begin at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ board room (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Other agenda items include:
• A letter of interest for the use of the North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center.
• A grant application with the Federal Emergency Management Agency for funding the relocation of the Clallam County Emergency Operations Center.
• Approval of certification of an applicant match for the Forks Over Height Vehicle Calawah River bridge and trail project.
• A contract amendment with the state Recreation and Conservation Office for a North Olympic Peninsula Lead Entity for Salmon grant.
• A monthly budget performance review.
• A discussion on Planning Commission candidates and next steps for appointment.
• A review of the recently-completed legislative session and potential impacts to the county.
The board will hear a quarterly income report from the state Department of Natural Resources at 1 p.m. Monday.
Commissioners will conduct their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include:
• A proclamation declaring June 19 through June 21 as Wings of Freedom Days.
• An agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation Western Federal Lands Highway Division for construction of a segment of the Spruce Railroad Trail at Lake Crescent.
• An agreement with Berk Consulting, Inc. for a criminal justice and legal services level of service and efficiency study.
• A notice of bids for a segment of the Olympic Discovery Trail between Freshwater Bay Road and Thompson Road.
• A bid award for a countywide paving and road repair project.
• A resolution appointing Chad Young, Cynthia Bork and Emily Dexter to the Solid Waste Advisory Committee.
• Notice that supplemental appropriations will be adopted May 28.
• A call for May 28 hearing for consideration of debatable budget emergencies.
Port Angeles parks
The Port Angeles Parks, Recreation and Beautification Commission will hear a briefing on the process that has taken place regarding Veteran’s Memorial Park and the protection of the Liberty Bell at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will be in the City Council chambers at City Hall.
Other agenda items include an update from the Port Angeles Senior Center.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will consider the Clallam Economic Development Corp., services contract when they meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at 338 W. First St.
Commissioners also will conduct a work session on the 2018 capital projects report, consider an interlocal agreement with the Peninsula Regional Transportation Planning Organization, and leases with the Composite Recycling Technology Center and the Clallam County Public Utility District.
Port Angeles city
The Port Angeles City Council will conduct a special meeting with the Utility Advisory Committee to participate in a combined cost-of-service analysis presentation and discussion at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The special meeting will be in the City Council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
The Port Angeles Lodging Tax Advisory Committee will discuss a master plan update when it meets at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The meeting will be in the Vern Burton Community center at 308 E. Fifth St.
The panel also will consider interim scoring criteria.
Sequim city
The Sequim City Council will review the facility rental policy at a workshop at 5 p.m. Monday.
The workshop will precede the regular meeting at Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St.
The council also will discuss the city arts advisory committee.
Sequim schools
The Sequim School Board will discuss a superintendent transition at a special meeting called for 5 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be at the school district office at 503 N. Sequim Ave.
Action may be taken.
Superintendent Gary Neal will resign as of June 30.
Planning commission
The county Planning Commission will consider a public hearing on current use applications from the second half of 2018 when it meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The meeting will be in the county courthouse. The after-hours entrance is from Fourth Street.
The group also will consider a public benefit rating system and a state audit.
Public Utility District
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will consider awarding a bid to Power Trip Energy Corporation for a Sequim solar project when they meet at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in the Lake Crescent Boardroom at the Carlsborg main office at 104 Hooker Road.
Other agenda items include a bid award to Pacific Pole Inspection, Inc. for pole inspection, testing and reporting, a resolution establishing the current schedule of deposits and charges and a resolution authorizing the disposal of surplus property.
Conservation District
The Clallam Conservation District board will hear updates on a well metering pilot project and rates and charges at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be in Suite H at Armory Square, 228 W. First St., Port Angeles.
Other agenda items include:
• A contract with FCS Consulting for a rate study.
• A contract with Anchor QEA for irrigation piping engineering.
• An amended well metering agreement with the state Department of Ecology.
• Cooperator and cost share agreements.
Olympic Medical
Olympic Medical Center commissioners will consider a revised organization chart when they meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Commissioners will meet in Linkletter Hall located in the basement conference area of the hospital at 939 Caroline St., Port Angeles.
They also will hear a strategic plan update.
Clallam Transit
The Clallam Transit board is scheduled to meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The meeting will be at the Clallam Transit System administration building at 830 W. Lauridsen Blvd.

Peninsula College
The Peninsula College Board of Trustees will meet at the Port Townsend campus at Fort Worden at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

North Olympic Lead Entity for Salmon
The Technical Review Group of the North Olympic Lead Entity for Salmon will hear about research into impacts to salmon at the Hood Canal Bridge when they meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The meeting will be at the Elwha Heritage Center, 401 E. First St., in Port Angeles.
The salmon study is by Hans Daubenberger of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe and Megan Moore of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
Members also will consider a recommendation request for Returned Project Funding and/or Rapid Response Funding from the Puget Sound Partnership, along with other ongoing efforts to advance salmon restoration and protection.
Sanctuary council
The Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council will hear an update on U.S. Navy northwest training and testing and recreational fishing in the Pacific Northwest when it meets from 9:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday.
The council will meet at the Hemlock Forest conference room at the Olympic Natural Resources Center, 1455 S. Forks Ave., in Forks.
The Navy and fishing reports will be in the afternoon. There will be a briefing on ocean conditions and another on coastal tourism. Events related to the sanctuary’s 25th anniversary will be announced.
The meeting is open to the public, with public comment periods at noon and 2 p.m.
