Clallam County commissioners will consider a work plan for adapting to potential impacts of climate change Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. in the commissioners’ boardroom (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Other agenda items for the businesses meeting include:
â– The appointment of members for an ad hoc committee to screen hearing examiner candidates.
â– A call for bids for a crushed rock supply.
â– Notice that a supplemental appropriation will be adopted April 26.
â– Notice of an April 26 hearing for a debatable budget emergency.
Commissioners will meet in a work session at 9 a.m. Monday to preview items set for action in future meetings.
Discussion items include:
■A sheriff’s office need for one additional patrol sergeant’s position to have a supervisor present on the Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team.
â– A requested contract amendment for Gray & Osborne for clerical errors.
â– A proposed agreement to purchase property for Lower Elwha Road reconstruction.
â– Proposed easement purchases for the Carlsborg sewer system.
â– General board discussion.
Port of Port Angeles
Port of Port Angeles commissioners will consider an agreement for Olympic oyster restoration at the John Wayne Marina when it meets Monday.
Commissioners will meet in regular session at 1 p.m. at 338 W. First St.
The meeting will be preceded by a workshop at 9 a.m. in the same place.
At the afternoon meeting, commissioners also will consider the 2015 capital project report and hear a report on the quarterly goals of the strategic plan.
At the morning meeting, they will discuss rules for speaking at commission meetings, advisory committee structure, strategic plan action items and a request for sponsorship from the Sequim Irrigation Festival logging show.
Sequim City Council
The Sequim City Council will considering approving 2017 funds for tennis courts and improvements to Dr. James Standard Park when it meets ÂMonday.
The council will meet at 5 p.m. at City Hall, 152 W. Cedar St.
The council will consider allocating $60,000 for tennis courts at Carrie Blake Park and $20,000 for standard park improvements in 2017.
It will conduct a public hearing before considering adoption of a stormwater plan, hear an update on downtown plan implementation and review a proposed fencing ordinance.
Forks City Council
The Forks City Council will conduct a public hearing on a rezone request when it meets Monday.
The council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 500 E. Division St.
The council also will consider amending the city personnel policy and procedure manual and schedule a city tour.
Quillayute Valley schools
The Quillayute Valley School Board will hear an update on the Spartan Field replacement when it meets Tuesday.
The board will meet at 6 p.m. in the library at Forks High School.
It also will consider a resignation from Wayne Daman, high school head baseball coach.
Ethics panel
A Port Angeles ethics committee will consider whether to make a recommendation to the City Council when it meets Tuesday.
The panel will meet at 11 a.m. in council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
Earlier this month, the panel found Deputy Mayor Cherie Kidd in violation of one complaint against her.
It will meet to decide whether it will make a recommendation to the council.
Clallam Conservation District
The Clallam Conservation District board will discuss a county roadside vegetation management plan when it meets Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. in Suite H at Armory Square, 228 W. First St., Port Angeles.
Other agenda items include summer internships, the next phase of a Dungeness Irrigation District piping project, a McDonald Creek irrigation diversion project update, maintenance contracts and cooperator and cost-share agreements.
Trust lands committee
The Clallam County Trust Lands Advisory Committee will hear a review from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on the Endangered Species Act on Friday.
The meeting will begin at noon in Room 160 at the Clallam County Courthouse.
Clallam PUD
The Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners’ meeting for Monday has been canceled.
The next meeting will be April 18.
