Clallam County commissioners will discuss federal grants for District Court 1 therapeutic courts at 9 a.m. Monday.

District Court 1 Judge David Neupert said he would like to review expectations and criteria for the county to apply for one or more grants in the near future, according to an executive summary.
District Court 1 is based in Port Angeles.
Other topics for the work session include:
• A discussion on contracting with Peninsula Dispute Resolution Center for the Lake Sutherland wake boat controversy and other potentially divisive topics.
• A contract amendment with Peninsula Community Health Services to assist with state opioid response.
• An agreement with Green Crow Timber LLC for the Olympic Discovery Trail.
Commissioners will conduct their weekly business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include:
• An amended agreement with Environmental Science Associates for a periodic review of the county’s Shoreline Master Program.
• A public hearing for consideration of debatable budget emergencies.
Port Angeles city
The Port Angeles City Council will consider final approval of setting speed limits on a variety of city streets when it meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
An executive session to discuss potential litigation with legal counsel is planned at 4:30 p.m.

A special joint meeting between the Port Angeles City Council and the the city planning commission is set for 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The two boards will discuss possible agreements on mixed use zoning to include commercial in housing on the west end, removing parking requirements, subdivision minimum lot sizes to a much smaller square footage, short- and long-term solutions for shelter and permanent housing.
Sequim schools
The Sequim School Board will consider approval of a superintendent search firm when it meets at 6 p.m. Monday.
