The Port Angeles City Council will discuss flags in the City Council chambers at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be in the City Council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth. St.
Mayor Sissi Bruch suggested near the end of the March 19 council meeting that the city add the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe’s flag to the council chambers.
Other agenda items for the Tuesday meeting include:
• A letter of support for National Park Service funding.
• A proclamation recognizing April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
• Final acceptance of a contract for the Eighth Street bridges fencing project.
An executive session will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday for the council to discuss collective bargaining with an employee organization, according to a Friday announcement.
Clallam County
Clallam County commissioners will consider a contract amendment with Gray & Osborne to provide planning and design services for the Clallam Bay/Sekiu sewer facilities plan when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.
The work session will be in the commissioners’ board room (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
Other agenda items include:
• A contract amendment with the state Military Department and U.S. Department of Homeland Security to revise work plan, budget and timeline.
• A request for proposals and qualifications for videographer services for 2019.
• Final approval of a plat to create four additional lots within Matriotti Creek Estates.
• An update on the current legislative session.
Commissioners will conduct their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include:
• A proclamation declaring April as National County Government Month.
• A proclamation recognizing April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
• Recognizing Dale Francis for more than 40 years of service to Clallam County.
• An agreement with Peninsula Daily News for printing legal publications through June 2020.
• An interlocal agreement with Jefferson and Kitsap counties and the state Health Care Authority for the Administration of integrated managed care.
• An agreement with Peninsula Behavioral Health for mental health counseling services to individuals with developmental disabilities who exhibit challenging behaviors or mental health needs.
• An agreement with Peninsula Housing Authority for the second phase of multi-family housing east of Port Angeles.
• An agreement with the state Department of Natural Resources for a county recreation trail easement.
• A call for bids for the Third Street HVAC replacement project.
• A call for bids for the jail kitchen exhaust improvement project.
• A resolution authorizing the chair to execute Bureau of Indian Affairs documents.
• A public hearing on the allocation of regional surface transportation program funding and highway improvement program funding.
• A public hearing on amendments to the 2019 to 2024 Transportation Improvement Program.
County planning commission
The Clallam County Planning Commission will review wireless communications facilities at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The work session will be in Room 160 at the Clallam County Courthouse.
Olympic Medical Center
Olympic Medical Center commissioners will hear about the Top 100 Rural Community Hospital Award when they meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The commission will meet in the upstairs conference room at the Sequim Medical Services Building at 840 N. Fifth Ave.
Commissioners will hear about National Health Care Decision Day and discuss a nuclear camera for the heart center.
Fire District 3
Clallam County Fire District 3 commissioners will consider employment agreements when they meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Commissioners will meet at 323 N. Fifth Ave., in Sequim.
They also will hear a report from the fire chief.
The district covers the east side of Clallam County with a small portion in Jefferson County.
