The Port Angeles City Council will consider a two-year strategic plan Tuesday.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the City Council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
The strategic plan will align vision, goals and objectives with specific measurable actions that will provide direction for the city in 2019 and 2020, officials said.
Other agenda items for the meeting include:
• A public hearing to consider a tax exemption for multi-family dwellings
• 2019 lodging tax event grants.
• A Wave television cable franchise ordinance, settlement and franchise agreement.
• A 2019 equipment services update.
• The sale of surplus property between Lauridsen Blvd. and Sixth Street.
• A think tank discussion.
Clallam County
Clallam County commissioners will consider establishing, maintaining and programming county reserve funds Monday.
The work session will begin at 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ board room (160) at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
The discussion on reserve funds will commence at 1 p.m.
Agenda items for the work session include:
• A call for a hearing on the proposed surplus of vehicles and equipment.
• The transition of the Clallam County Veterans program from the commissioners’ office.
• A letter to Washington State Parks for the transfer of six parcels in the Clallam Bay area.
• An agreement with Jefferson County Public Works for reimbursable work.
• A general fund budget review.
Commissioners will conduct their regular business meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Action items include:
• A contract amendment with Friendship Diversion Services for providing a supervised alternative to jail for offenders referred by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
• A resolution authorizing the Board of Equalization to convene.
• Approval of an “opt in” or “opt out” to administer consolidated homeless grants.
• Notice that supplemental appropriations will be adopted by resolution Jan. 29.
• A call for Jan. 29 hearing for consideration of debatable budget emergencies.
• An amended right of entry permit with Rayonier Operating Company, LLC., for surveying lands for the Olympic Discovery Trail.
• A joint letter of support with the city of Sequim and Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe to state Rep. Mike Chapman, D-Port Angeles, for the design of U.S. Highway 101 safety improvements from Simdars Road to Palo Alto Road.
• Recognizing Robert Lee for more than 25 years of service to Clallam County.
Sequim city
The Sequim City Council will consider an interlocal agreement with Clallam County Fire District No. 3 when it meets at 6 p.m. Monday.
The council will meet in the Sequim Civic Center at 152 W. Cedar St.
The agreement will outline several shared services including a Sequim Emergency Operations Center in the event of a regional emergency.
The council also will consider amending the nuisance law, and a personal services agreement with Platform Design LLC for public outreach on the proposed South Sequim Connector Project.
Fire District 3
Clallam County Fire District No. 3 commissioners will discuss an interlocal agreement with the City of Sequim when they meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
They will meet at 323 N. Fifth Ave., in Sequim.
They also will consider an emergency medical service agreement and volunteer reimbursement.
The district covers the east side of Clallam County with a small portion in Jefferson County.
Public Utility District
Clallam County Public Utility District commissioners will consider a payment agreement to provide financing to Northwest Open Access Network (NoaNet) for capital expenses at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be in the Lake Crescent Boardroom at the Carlsborg main office at 104 Hooker Road.
Other agenda items include a resolution declaring Landis & Gyr as a sole source supplier and the removal of delinquent accounts from the active miscellaneous accounts receivable.
Forks City Council
The Forks City Council will discuss storm debris at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
The meeting will be at Forks City Hall, 500 E. Division St.
Other agenda items include:
• A fourth-quarter report on sales tax, lodging tax and building permits.
• Appointments to the Peninsula Regional Transportation Planning Organization.
• Appointments to the Clallam Transit System board.
Board of Health
The Clallam County Board of Health will hear a presentation on the drinking water situation at Bullman Beach near Neah Bay oat 1:30 p.m.Tuesday.
The meeting will be in Room 160 at the Clallam County Courthouse.
Tom Burlingame, Bullman Beach Water Association president, will brief the health board.
Other agenda items include the election of a chair and vice chair, a recap of a special legislative meeting and a update on a suicide prevention program.
The county health officer will review a new naloxone program and discuss goals and priorities for 2019, including suicide prevention, infant mortality, opioids, homelessness and vaccination.
Clallam Transit
The Clallam Transit board will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The meeting will be in the Clallam Transit System administration building at 830 W. Lauridsen Blvd.
The agenda is expected to be posted prior to the meeting at www.clallamtransit.com.
Planning Commission
The Clallam County Planning Commission will review wireless communications facilities at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The work session will be in Room 160 at the Clallam County Courthouse.
Other agenda items include the election of a chair and vice chair and a review of bylaws.
Port Angeles parks
The Port Angeles Parks, Recreation and Beautification Commission will hear a director’s report on 2018 and 2019 projects at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The meeting will be in the City Council chambers at City Hall.
Other agenda items include a presentation by Senior Center Manager Aubry Bright.
